616 is the main Marvel Universe. There is a Spike in that Universe, the one that Specter posted form X-Static. And there is a Spike in Evolution, which is a cartoon and has nothing to do with the comics in regards to characters being in the same Universe.

I liked X-men: Evolution.

I liked X-Men: Evolution too, I know who Spike is too, he wasn't one of my favorite characters in the show. But as others have said he will be in the movie, interestingly enough he fights my favorite character Wolverine, can't wait to see this battle.

616 Spike and Quill have different powers. Quill has had many incarnations but the current[and dead] one has quills instead of hair, that he can shoot. The power has been used by several Quills before.

It's what was confirmed. There was a whole questionaire about it on here a long time ago when a cast list got out saying the guy was playing Quills/Kid Omega since they are the names of two seperat characters in the comics.

I just think its dumb they are calling him Kid Omega, he is nothing like Quentin Quire, nor are is powers deserving of the name Kid Omega....just seems useless

Similar, but not the same. Quill's spikes are quills like that of a porcupine, while Spyke's are bone shards pulled from his skin, the same as the comic character Marrow.

In Evolution he was Storm's nephew and was created because producers felt the team needed more racial diversity. Why they didn't just use an existing black character, we'll never know.

The X3 Spyke bears little resemblance in appearance to the Evolution Spyke, but his powers appear to be the same.

In Evolution Spyke joined the Morlocks after his mutancy evoloved to give him a bone armor of sorts and the ability to ignite the ends of his spikes.
