Nolan is going to make the two sequels back to back so we could expect them in summer 2008 and summer 2009. Y'know, it's hard to wait for The Dark Knight. It'd be even harder to wait until 2011 for the 3rd installement. But I only want the sequels to be back to back if the "rush" doesn't hurt like it didn't with LOTR for example.

Do you think there's any chance we'll get back to back movies?

Who knows? Only Nolan will decide that. If he does back to back Batman movies then I'll be happy.

I sorta hope it doesn't happen. I want to milk the experience of getting great Batman movies for as long as possible. :o

I agree. But, hopefully it would work out both ways:

We get a kickass trillogy, filmed all together in 5 years, where the cast doesnt age that much.

Since the cast and crew has only taken 5 years to make 3 respected, finacially succesful, potentially award winning films (by the third...if they only get better from the first, the acedemy would be blind) I can see them possibly agreeing to ATLEAST one more film.

So- I'd LOVE 4 moveis over 7 years, rather than 3 over eight.

I think after The Dark Knight Nolan is doing a movie of the 60's tv show The Prisioner, but he might do the third installment first if WB wants it.
