The Dark Knight 2007 is coming... Buckle your safety belts.

You know, looking back at the total LACK of news in 2006 (I believe we knew Ledger was Joker in AUGUST, and we haven't learned much since), I think 2007 will be the greatest year EVER for us Batman fans.

1.) We'll know who Dent is in January - most likely.
2.) Filming starts in February/March.
3.) We'll get a teaser trailer around Summer time.
4.) We'll see actual production photos, most likely Ledger included.
5.) We're more excited this time around. We didn't know what to expect from BB, and now that we've seen it, we know this will be excellent. Plus, it's Joker, which raises our excitement even more.

Overall, 2007 will be an amazing experience for us. By the time 2008 comes, it will be mass hysteria on the hype... but 2007 will definitely be the bulk of our craziness.

So, as the suckyass year known as 2006 comes to a close in less than a week (I mean, really.. this year was so average and mundane for me), I gladly raise my glass to you Hypers, and I look forward to sharing the greatest year for Bat-fans.

Personally 2006 was exciting, I met alot people, grew closer to alot of people, didnt really work most of the year but I kept busy, real busy. Superman was good, so was V and Casino Royale. Little Miss Sunshine ruled IMO.

As for Bat news, I think 2008 will pwn 2007, because at the speed Nolan has worked at, we dont see anything (as far as trailers) until LATE, so for TDK, I think fall is when we will recieve a date for the trailer. No DC movies slated for 07, so as far as movies go, I'll play it by ear. Spidey and TMNT are the only ones that jump at me so far.

2008 might be even suckier than this year due to the lack of depth... Indy 4? Stop joking... JP4 and T4? Give me a break... avatar got moved... Halo sure as hell ain't happening... it still is early but 2008 will be a snooze.... but luckily we still got that diamond in the rough. 2007 is where the action is though

im more excited about the movies 2007, then the batman news. also Nolan has said he wants to keep most info about the movie secretive. so i dought we will get much of anything in 07, besides they start of filming in march, and who is playing harvey dent.

January 2nd is the best day to celebrate...my birthday. 2006 was okay. Some of the movies and shows that came out this year were an improvement on last year. But who cares about that? I want 24! On January 14! 12 days after my birthday! Then I want Heroes on January 27! Coooooool. NINJAS RULE.

Why would 07 be the best year ever, when TDK comes out in 08?

I do think, however, that 07 will be the better year cinematically

I really don't think a teaser trailer for TDK will be attached to HP 5, because it's too early on during shooting. By the time July rolls around, filming for TDK will have gone on for 3-4 months and there won't be enough footage shot to use in a teaser. I feel that we'll get the teaser for TDK in late November/early December 2007... unless Nolan is in a generous mood and gives it to us in October.

But yeah, 2007 will be the year of the Bat in terms of news and movie coverage. I do hope we'll get some minor casting news besides who will play Harvey Dent, though. And I don't think we'll get outsider photos of the production (due to the secrecy), just official stills from Warner Brothers.
