I havent kept up much o nthis film, but i remember many month's ago i read somewhere on here i think i na article or something that this supost to be after the last film, so is this like part 4?? i just saw the new bunchof movie stills and one of them has like stuff from the last movies, like shred's helmet, the tcri container from tmnt2 and stuff fro mthe last film, so has this been confirmd or is that just to be like a reference to the films???

this takes place after 2... tech its the new movie 3. so u can ignore the old 3 as if it was never made....kinda like they did with superman returns that was the new superman 3 and the old 4 and 4 are no longer part of the movie continuity.

oh reaily?? but why do they have the big thing and mask and armor fro mthe 3rd?? well i guess 1 and 2 are the best ones...thanx for the info, i appreciate it

No it doesn't ignore three at all.

If anything it acknowledges the third movie since they kept items from it which you can now see in a picture of the new one.

It's basically an extension of the movie-verse.

Yes, the new TMNT doesnt ignore three as three did not actually star Richard Pryor. If anyone ever heard of the movie they were going to make to be the fourth based on the next mutation, then maybe they would have retconned that but as it stands the events of the trilogy did take place.

ya, supposed to take place after tmnt 1 & 2.

I assume they realised it was stupid.

It wasn't stupid and neither was the Turtle Van. Hell, the freaking Battle Shell in the new Ninja Turtles (while I don't like it because I'm an oldschool fan) is badass.

TMNT is basically Movie #4. It loosly recognises the 3 previous movies.

saying you dont like the new turtles animated sereis, and from what I've seen the movie, series because your an old school fan is ******ed, seeing as it's much closer to the original comics than any of the old stuff was...that's like if they made a cartoon based on the original Superman comics from the 40's and you said you dont like them becasue you're an old school fan and loved S:TAS

yeah, I seriously hope this new flick captures the essence of the early comics. the 2 trailers looked great! the new animated series is 100 times better than the original show (exluding fast foward which i haven't caught enough of).

I love the fact this is a sequel. There's no real need for it to be a sequel, but it is nonetheless.

I want Splinter to say "I made a FUNNY...ahaha" at the end of this movie.

It's a direct sequel to the first film and it will contain certain "nods" to the second and third. In plain English: it's a sequel to the first film.

I wouldn't call it a direct sequel at all.

What I will call it is an extension of the movies. This is not a strict, traditional sequel.

And they aren't going to deny any of the last movies happened.
