Is this girl spinning Clockwise or Counter-Clockwise?

She is going clockwise for me (at first) but sometimes I see her move counterclockwise, I've seen this illusion a couple of months ago and ever time I see it Im amazed! The brain is so weird.


BTW: For people who want to see her move both ways...it helps me when you just focus on her feet.

For those that are having trouble seeing it go the other way here a little cheat/tip.

If you're seeing it clockwise, which is pretty much the case for me, you're using your right, creative, part of your brain. To get her to move the other way, look away for a second, and just do a math problem, like 5+5, 5x5, 6+9. That gets your left, analytical/logical side going and hence you'll see her move counter-clockwise.

For the opposite effect imagine yourself flying or making out with Jessica Alba. That gets your creative right-side going and you'll see her move clockwise.

Haha it took me awhile to see it.

Stare at her leg that is out. When it is spinning through the lower left side of the image. For me that is the area where I can force her to go the opposite direction if I pay attention enough. Just try to imagine how that leg is going counter when you know it's going clockwise.

The eureka moment was awesome. Lately however, she gets stuck in a back and forth and never makes it all the way around. Which in itself is a mindfk.

She spins clockwise no matter what I force myself to do - be it using math, looking at her legs, the shadows or whatever. I tried using peripheral vision, I tried looking at it from a distance, nothing, nada.

I. Just. Don't. SEE. IT!

Like I said originally, I had my friend next to me, yelling in my ear that it was spinning the other way. He seemed very insistent, so I begrudgingly stared at it.

Hope you see it though, it truly is a WTF moment.

It's clockwise for me and only clockwise. I read many reader comments and tried all the methods to make myself see it anti-clockwise but just can't because she is simply not spinning that way. That's all there is to it.

Okay so it was going clockwise then it went counter for a long time, now it seems i can just change it at will. *HINT* Just look at the shadow and it turns the opposite direction from what you originally see. At least for me it does.

First saw it counter-clockwise. Then I watched the foot she was standing on and suddenly it's clockwise. Can't get it back to counter-clockwise.

Wait, the shadow does the trick. Now I can change it at will too.
