Isn't it safe to assume that TIME TRAVEL will NEVER be possible?

Maybe there will be rescrictions on time travel?

My 1st theroy on that subject. Some law prohibiting the alteration of past events.
Maybe altering an event like '911' will seriously jepodize other future events if prevented?

Enter the paradox theroy. Let's say you invent a time machine, and go back in time. You go back in time and kill your father, but how could you go back in time if you were never born to invent the time machine. Paradox.

Maybe someone DID try and prevent some great, historical atrocity, and succeeded in a way. What we deem as horrific, they deemed as an OK outcome-as, ORIGINALLY, the event turned out alot worse?

I call that one the Butterfly Effect Theroy. no matter how often you change it. It gets worse. What if 9/11 was the best worst case scenario? You see. Time travel impossible...I rule nothing out.

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious ****.

I came in here just to post that. :D

*sigh*

Isn't it safe to assume that a metallic vessel that weighs 153,000 pounds, full of scores of people, will NEVER be able to fly up into the air like a bird?

Isn't it safe to assume that if you stop someone's heart and remove all of the blood in their body for over an hour that their life is over?

Isn't it safe to assume that since the ground is obviously stationary, and you can clearly watch the sun travel across the sky every single day, that the sun revolves around the Earth?

No. It is not safe to assume that Time Travel will never be possible.
Every era of humanity thinks they are the pinnacle of achievement and knowledge.
They have all been wrong.

time travel into the future is totally possible...anyone who's ever flown has actually done it, they went over it in one of my science classes...something about the faster you go, the faster you move through time....you only get like, a few hundredths of a second from flying for hours upon hours, but it's still there...I believe Einstein theorized all this too...but going back is impossible

i'm going to stand my my crazy ramblings a few pages back...

the present is only a theory:cmad:

I just time traveled again... it was disappointing

Answer this one....

A 67 year old man from New York city goes back in time to 1940 and gives Hitler the secrets of the H-Bomb. The Nazi's develop the bomb before we do. In 1944 the Nazi's use the bomb in New York killing hundred's of thousands of people including a small boy that one day would have been the man that goes back in time to give Hiter the bomb. Now the man no longer exists to go back in time, so what happens?

It's called a paradox, the whole situation never happens. Seriously, quantum physics should never be touched on by the Hype.

It is an example of the paradox theroy. A paradox is susposed to be able to rip time and space apart.

Explain to are lovely audience why the whole situation never happens.

Because it's a ****ing paradox! That's it! Paradox is an anomaly that CANNOT happen. This hypothetical old guy would never even be able to have this intention... just let it go. Go look up time paradox or pick up some literature on quantum physics or something...

Well recent break throughs in theoretical math and the string theory show promise that we are living in a multiverse comprised of a potentially infinite amount of universes and it COULD be possible to travel to these universes which could be "parallel." Meaning..in each universe something is different from our own..say, in one YOU don't even exist.

Man you're taking the fun right out of this. Why would the old guy "never be able to have this intention"?
