I binged the 5 episodes in two days. It's just fantastic, like a British, peppier "The Normal Heart". The cast is great, the characters really endearing. Without trivializing AIDS, it plays like a war or horror film, where there's a catastrophe looming, you get attached to the characters from the start and you worry over who is and isn't gonna make it to the end. It gets candid and realistic with the response to the disease, with some of the main characters being in denial, behaving irresponsibly and over-panicking over getting infected via casual contact. Some stuff, like the 10-year period and the ACT UP protests, might have benefitted from more episodes, maybe. Wish there was more, 5 episodes went by too fast.
