Maybe to a person who has been following the production and has had the chance to dissect each and every bit of flying footage, it does. But the CGI in this movie was nothing short of stunning.

boobitty boobitty editory... not really, when routh's cgi double comes flying by I can just tell it's not really him. That's got nothing to do with whether I've been watching the blogs. The shot that stuck out most to me wasn't even in any of them.

Yep. I remember this. Was when Donner came in and dropped a comic on the table and said "This is exactly what I want" And not to redesign anything, and to just give him a suit directly from the comics and no more or less.

What I don't get is that they will change Superman's costume to fit the new movie but when Batman gets a new movie they won't change his costume to black in the comics. I don't get it at all. Because I don't think the Batfans would object to a black suit for the comics, I know I wouldn't.

Edit: There was this one Artwork from the Art of Superman Returns book that had this cool costume design. The colors from the suit were darker but overall the suit is unchanged from the movie. Could some one post this picture for me please.

What I don't get is that they will change Superman's costume to fit the new movie but when Batman gets a new movie they won't change his costume to black in the comics. I don't get it at all. Because I don't think the Batfans would object to a black suit for the comics, I know I wouldn't.

It's a belt buckle. A minor insignificant change. I happen to like it.

some of the cgi flying does look fake. Singer's never been very good with cgi doubles or wire work.

You are aware that Singer doesn't actually animate the Digi-Doubles himself, right? Singer's mistake was hiring Sony Imageworks to do the CGI doubles.

I think you missed Jamal saying it was an "across the board" change meaning it will be in every Superman book and not just those featuring Kubert's art. Are you going to boycott every Superman title?

I actually WAS considering starting to buy them again, but now that they want to follw the POS suit that was used in the movie.... f*** no, I'm not gonna waste money and read about a hero who has a stupid-a** suit.

The buckle looks fine to me so does the suit, it's like in Batman, sometimes there's a bat on his buckle, like in Adam's variant cover for Batman #655. No big deal to me. I do like the S on the back, but this is fine too. But, I can understand people getting mad about it, I still want the yellow oval back on Batman's Bat symbol!

But didn't hte change to the batman suit in the comics shown above only last for a few months before it went back to the grey suit? And are these changes to the Superman suit in the comics permanent?

See I didn't mind the change of suit in the Batman movie as:

A. They used a skinny guy who for the movie.

B. Any guy going out really doing this would have a suit of armor as he knows one of the main things he woudl face is being shot, so taking cae of that in advance so that it is not an issue is a smart thing.

C. If he is going around in the night, Black is much easier to be stealth than blue and grey. Ninja's wear black suits for disguise and he trained as a Ninja, so it is an extention of that.

I don't remember anyone complaining about the change to the suit for B89 at all because peopel understood that even if it was never explained in the movie.

omg really... singer doesn't do teh cgi !!11... **** a goat, that's impossible. Is he also the director of the moovie? i've heard rumors.

anyway. As director he's responsible for what ends up on screen. This I am aware of, yes.

It should be the comics the movie patterns its costume from not the other way around.

Actually and I remember this pretty well, people, the comics community raised holy hell because the suit looked nothing like the comic book costume. As opposed to the minor changes Louise Mingenbach made, Bob Ringwoods suit was derided because it looked like a wet suit with rubber muscles. Go over the the Batman forum sometime. People still balk at the all black costume.
