I think a funny episode would be Charlie being convinced that he's been abducted by aliens (of course, he'd just be hallucinating because Frank is slipping him acid again). I could see Charlie flipping out over something like that, Dennis and Mac trying to prove that he's lying, maybe Frank and Dee trying to exploit it, etc.

But I really like your prohibition Idea thats a good one. And as far as the rape thing goes I think Matt hit it on the head. Nothing is to far on this show seriously. They could reveal that Frank molested them as kids and I wouldnt be "shocked" I would laugh my ass off though......Is that wrong? I disagree, some things are too far. A main character getting raped or learning that their father molested them and showing no repricussions of the rape is too far. Being as this is a comedy I don't think they'd show Dee coping with the rape and you really just can't have someone shrug off a rape. It is going to far for the universe created (which is grounded in reality, at least as much as it can be).

On the other hand, you can have Dee seeing the attention that rape victims get and falsely claim rape. That would be perfectly consistent with the show and not have complications. On top of that, it seems like something Dee would do. She sees a news story about a rape victim, the guys make fun of her saying she's not pretty enough to be raped, she tries to get raped (goes to a frat house passed out, walks around Philly at night dressed like a tramp, etc) then finally gives up and just claims she was raped. Now THAT would work. But actually having the character get raped is tasteless and creates problems from a story telling perspective as a comedy.

Agreed. It goes beyond just pushing boundaries on social issues. You have to see it from a story telling perspective. If you get Dee an incurable life ending disease, you have put an expiration date on the character. Doesn't really work. Now the gang can THINK she has AIDS, but where would it really go beyond them showing disgust/lack of knowledge on the subject. And that was already done by Frank in "Dennis and Dee's Mom is Dead." It was funny but there is no need to stretch it out for thirty minutes.

Same with Dee being raped. There are story line implications to it. No matter how big of ass holes they gang are, they are still human and a human could not just shrug off being raped.

I dunno man thats a little to much like the cripple ep. What couldnt they do with it? These guys are brilliant comedy writers I have the upmost faith that they could really make Dee getting raped not only hilarious but hilarious for a full 30 minutes. The funny part wouldnt be Dee getting raped. It would be how non-chalant everyone else is about it. The gangs reactions to Dee getting raped are what would make the episode great
