3 years ago white chicks was unleashed in theaters and the hype was going crazy. I noticed that it was mostly the white males that had a problem with it. Most white girls I know loved the movie. Why did a movie poking fun at white woman anger the males more than the females? And do you stil feel the same way about the movie?

I haven't even seen this movie, is it worth watching?

I saw the movie, it's mediocre, it simply teh same crap that the wayne's brothers constantly churn out, I don't get how they still get work it's essentially the same script over and over again just in a different locale.

there was controversy over this movie? It was poking fun at black face... good for a few laughs I guess.

I rented it. Lattrel was good for a few laughs. That aside, bleh.

Scary movie, white chicks, and little man are the same movies:huh: I think it's hard to judge comedy because everyone has different taste. Im sure you love the frat pack, but I hate those guys and think their corny.

I hate this movie, it was cheap copy of Some Like It Hot :down

Still, I must admit Date Movie and Epic Movie were thousand times worser than White Chicks :down

I'm pretty sure it still sucks as much as it did 3 years ago.

The thing that bugs me about it is that they didn't even try to make the Wayans bros. look like actual girls, plus they never even really act like a white girl, more a stereotypical black guy. I realize that's what the whole joke is supposed to be, but I just could never get past the general concept. I watched about 30 minutes of it, one of the many times it's played on F/X recently and that's about all I could stand.

Legend has it that a black hole formed on the set after they were done filming White Chicks.:wow:

it wasn't a black hole. it was a time tunnell. how do you think I know it'll still suck in 300 years? even with the 25 year anniversary special edition, with the CGI-redone makeup (that somehow made them look even more like ogres), it was still crap beyond comprehension.

I'd be ok with it if there was a spin-off called Black Chicks (or Hos), where 2 white guys go undercover as black girls. But for some reason, in this double-standard world, there would be more "problems" with this type of movie.

BTW, never seen White Chicks and have no intention of doing so.

i feel the same way i did when i first saw the trailer 3 years ago; that looks stupid.

I think the complaint I heard from a few was...if a white man made a movie called "Black Chicks" that made all kinds of stereotypes about black women such as being loud, obnoxious, fat, and on welfare like this movie stereotyped white women as blonde, dumb, spoiled, and rich then they would be called racist, but it was ok to do White Chicks. Sort of a double standard. But it really wasn't a controversy or hype. In fact, only a couple people ever mentioned anything even remotely similiar to that.

Has it been 3 years?! DAMN! Time flies! But, anyway, the problem with this movie is that the Wayans in drag was scary! Its supposed to be funny like Martin Lawrence dressed as a black old lady. They, on the other hand, was just scary and disgusting looking!

Ok but why is it that only white men have a problem with it, and not white women?

Have you interviewed every white male and white female? My girlfriend is a white female and she thought the movie was stupid and racist.

I don't care what you say about the movie, it had 2 very hilarious parts. The scene when Latrell starts singing A Thousand Miles, and when Latrell (OD'd) starts dancing in the club were hilarious.

if that kind of movie had appeal to the general public...which is mostly white, it would be made.

it doesn't, that's why there won't be a "Black Chicks" movie.

I liked White Chicks. my guilty plesure. It's properly one of the only Wayne's Bros movie I liked. Terry Crews always makes me laugh.
