And Tobey is 5'8...................................................................way to be short 2 inches Tobey.

......You guys are still going on about height?

Anyway, Garfield was interviewed by Details magazine:

On his role in Spider-Man: “I see it as a massive challenge in many ways. To make it authentic. To make the character live and breathe in a new way. The audience already has a relationship with many different incarnations of the character. I do, as well. I’m probably going to be the guy in the movie theater shouting abuse at myself. But I have to let that go. No turning back. And I wouldn’t want to.” (He’s currently shooting the movie with Emma Stone.)

On training for Spider-Man:
“I want to feel stronger that I’ve ever felt, and I want to feel more flexible than I’ve ever felt. I want to feel powerful. You don’t want to just be a pack of meat—it has to be an open body. It does something to your psyche, and it does something to the way you move.”

On landing the role and becoming famous:
“I realized immediately how much hard work it was going to be, and how much of a minefield it was going to be in terms of all the s–t that comes with it. Stuff that I would like to not have any part of. I mean visibility and being recognized walking down the street. I’m holding out a naïve and ignorant hope that won’t happen…. I hope I never blow up. I hope that I have to audition for every single job I want. I hope that I’m always struggling, really. You develop when you’re struggling. When you’re struggling, you get stronger.”

Garfield sounds like a good guy. I especially like the last bit of that interiview.

I hope it works out well for him because he seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't cope if it bad and people turned on him.

Just saw Boy A. What a brilliant movie, very strong and emotional. And Andrew Garfield is even better than in the Social Network!

He doesn't have the type of build that'll ever be described as 'buff' or 'muscular', but he looks to be in good shape there. You can bet the suit will have a degree of padding anyway.

He's got a nice amount of muscle on his arms.

Let's see how his body is... :awesome:

...

That was creepy...

Nice interview.

And that pic was surprising. I didn't think his arms were that big... that's good.

Hey, at least we're not saying how big they should be... at least not yet.

LOL. We'll we all know that Parker shouldn't look like Brock Lesnar or John Cena now.:oldrazz:

He's being trained by the best, with a perpose, not just to genereic big, they have a body style in mind for him.

The idea is he will be ripped but he shouldn't look big when he's wearing normal clothes.

Look at Cam Gigandet as a perfect example of how a person can be muscular yet, appear skinny.

i imagine that's sort of the stlye they will be going for with Garfield, zero bodyfat, and a more nimble, athletic like approach.
