I think we can all agree on many things about "Heroes". What started off like an eagle with wings soaring through the air from Volume I to slowly transforming into a crawling lizard, gasping for life --

- This show has lost it's originality.

- It's a merry-go-round every week.

- Does any MAIN character truly EVER die? (i.e. Nikki/Tracey, Nathan, Peter, Hiro, etc.)

MORE: This is just a show running in circles chasing it's own tail! I don't know if this show can be saved at all but I would speed up the pace a little bit and throw out some things and quit going back to old plots/storylines. Start introducing new characters, different and exciting stories. How many times is Nathan going to die? We've seen him save Peter as the bomb then healed. We've seen him get shot and supposedly die. Now this? What about Peter? Get his freakn powers back! Seriously, Sylar's a good guy, then he's not. Then he's good, then he's not. Angela is Sylar's mother which makes Peter/Nathan Sylar's brother. Then he's not. QUIT zig-zagging all over the place. Season one was amazing because it had ONE true plot and we all know that famous line -- "Save the cheerleader, save the world." Granted, season one's ending or Volume I, whatever, it was a little underwhelming and I think THAT is where the origin of the problem is; was towards the end of Volume I. No, they can't fix that but they had better start making some changes and quit re-hashing BS, predictable story lines and poor character development. Can we actually see at least SOME characters doing something heroic for a change? Maybe if there weren't so many characters and multiple plots they could actually push this show forward and regain their young demographic viewers. I've only watched the show casually since midway through Volume II. I'm afraid if Volume V is just as bad as IV, III, II, this show is going to be canceled and they'll be allowed to finish out Volume V but the show will be rushed/forced to have some kind of final end to it all.

I wouldn't mind seeing some characters stories coming to an end, the villains causing tragedy meanwhile the heroes compelled to involve themselves in heroic acts. One of the main disappoints for me is Hiro. TO ME Hiro/Ando has gone no where. It's like a broken record, or, SSDD each episode! Hiro is such a pansy, too! All talk, no show. That's all he is and that's all him an Ando have done since we were first introduced to the characters. The only real intriguing characters to me have always been The Petrelli's and Sylar. Claire is all right but she complains/whines too much and the whole relationship with HRG or "Daddy" is just too much for me to handle anymore.

I don't have high hopes for Volume V, I'm just waiting for when the white flag is thrown up and the show becomes a figment of our imaginations. This show truly had lots and LOTS of promise from Volume I. How can we all forget Isaac the painter, the bomb, Peter/Sylar both seeing the future/painting it, trying to stop one another. THAT was epic/awesome. The characters finally clashing in the final episode (however it was very, very underwhelming.) Was I expecting a Dragonball Z type of fight between Peter/Sylar? No. But I expected much, much more.

It appears to me that maybe this show is headed towards the future from Volume I episode Five Years Gone. Still, to this day, that is my favorite episode. Now, if they can somehow build off of that premise, then maybe, just maybe this show can be saved. And believe me, I'm hoping for nothing BUT that!

It is headed towards five years gone and we can pretty much "predict" Season V. :whatever: Nathan aka Sylar finaly realizes he is in reality Sylar and will start taking advantage of his position. While in the process taking away powers from other "specials". And one of the new specials this upcoming season has to have the power D.L. from season 1 had. And....well the rest we saw on the episode Five Years Gone but with some minor tweaks.

You know what i love about Heroes? As if LOST wasnt already good enough, Heroes makes it look even better.

they kill off the good characters and leave the lame ones.

plots have been **** since the end of season 1, ever since then they've done epic trolling.

The show is wat too predictable, and way too close to X-Men.

i LOVED Eden, Meredith, and Elle oh and Isaac but they all ended up dead. its very sad. so many worse characters have lived far beyond their prime.

You know this might sound like a crazy idea and probably insane but maybe you could you know.....STOP watching it and when it premiers again next season don't even pay attention.:cwink:

I don't like the fact that in Heroes, barely any death sticks. Suddenly, we don't care if they die in an episode because they can come back at any time. It's so anti-climactic. It's moronic. Let the deaths stick and move on.

I completely agree. It's a Merry-Go-Round, and its freaking annoying, recycling issues/relationships really looks bad. I liked season 1, although the not-so subtle foreshadowing and plot "hints" in the dialogue and directing annoyed me. Now the Heroes just bicker with each other and the soap-opera melodrama is cheesy.

Too many characters have powers that have evolved to apocalyptic proportions. Look at Matt... way too much power. Same with Peter, Sylar, Claire, etc. If everyone had powers that were no bigger than, say Niki's, Angela's, Monica's, I think it would be a lot more interesting, and a lot more relatable. You wouldn't find all those plot holes that are bigger than the grand canyon.

No one can die, apparently, and no one's death sticks. Now, when someone dies, I think to myself, "oh yeah, they'll come back eventually."

It frustrating because the show has so much potential.

Nathan died
Just because Sylar is posing as him doesn't mean he ain't dead

So it's just like the comic books, eh?

Most of the deaths have stuck .

I have come to the realization that this show is never going to be what I want it to be. So I just watch it for what it is. And I enjoy it a lot more now.

You might be fine with settling for mediocrity, but some of us arent.

It had such a glorious start, that it really just makes its fall suck just that much more. So much wasted potential...

*Sigh* I'm starting to see this two. The only way for Heroes to redeem itself in my eyes if they give us that freakin Peter/Sylar fight we've been wanting since Volume 1 >>

I have come to a conclusion about the current state of Heroes too: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I miss old school Heroes so much it hurts...

"old school heroes"...?

It's like all of you forgot how bad the season 1 finale sucked!

I like this show, but the people who hate on it now seem to think it was magically delicious in its first season

:whatever:
People *****ed so hard about that damn finale. Get over it. The finale was fan-****ing-tastic. And it was "magically delicious" in its first season, thank you very much.

i liked the season one finale, it was season 2 that right off the bat you knew it was down hill from there ...people should of been dead, peter had lost his memory, sylar wound up in south america for no reason

By old school I mean old, geniuses! I miss old Heroes (season one)!

When it was good.

I like the actors that they are bringing in to play villains for next season. More good villains = less Sylar = improved show in my book.

Hopefully this along with NBC replacing their entertainment chairman for the crap job he was doing will breathe some life into a show that has really been in decline.
