J.J. Abrams' Super 8

Bring it JJ! If it's a Clover prequel especially, but either way bring it!

it's possible that it's the Steven Spielberg/JJ Abrams project since it's about ordinary people dealing with something extraordinary. It's also possible it's tied-in to Cloverfield, or set in that reality. (You know..where you don't have to see Cloverfield to understand this; think spin-off)

We haven't heard anything about 'Super 8' and it's possible they haven't shot it yet, and maybe the footage in the teaser was just shot for the teaser.

Prequel to Cloverfield = :wow::up:

Super 8

Insiders familiar with the trailer tell us that it shows a bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera in the seventies or eighties. When they develop the film, they notice that there's an alien creature in the frame.

Area 51

A group of teenagers stumble upon an area in the Nevada desert known for hosting an alien encounter.

Both shot shaky cam.

Either Cloverfield or Star Trek?

I hope its Cloverfield... :)

So that must mean Clover is a top secret military experiment gone wrong then...

Please I've been waiting so patiently for a Cloverfield...anything.

Heh, I'll be so disappointed in the creature in the trailer looks nothing like Clover, but if it's Clover or Baby! Clover I'm gonna be all excited.

There's no way something for Star Trek would be this low-key and secretive. It's got to be Cloverfield.

It's said to actually be Cloverfield related, a prequel most likely.

And like I said in my ealier post, Star Trek 2 comes out in 2012, I doubt they even have a full script yet.

Might be related to that movie JJ is doing about Spielberg.

As if theres not enough reason to catch Iron Man in cinemas....

How exactly would a Cloverfield prequel work? I mean, no one knew what the hell was going on, so if a giant monster rampaged through a city thirty years prior, wouldn't it just be par for course?

Actually, in the manga, there's hundreds of "Clovers" across the world. So who knows.

Who says it has to be a prequel though? These kids could just be the ones that stumbled across the mother Clover when she came around. I mean just because the trailer's set in a certain era doesn't necessarily mean it has to be all set in that era.
