J.J. Abrams, Undercovers

It's back to doing Tyler Perry related projects for Boris Kodjoe.

I think this is the 2nd time you've said that. He was in 1 Perry flick, as far as I know...

And back to England for Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Hopefully not. Or if so, she'll hopefully be in something that gets played over here as well...:hrt:

At least we still have that scene from ep. 2 with her in the lingerie. :csad:

chaseter - ter = chase ----> Chase the tv show <----> pun

I was afraid this would happen...it's a fun show.

He was in the TV shows produced/created by Tyler, although in guest roles. Being in Tyler Perry movies isn't bad. It gives him a steady paycheck, plus those films are likely to break even at the box office. Despite how many of us feel about his movies, they always break even. Gugu could probably end up in either an established American TV show or go into movies. Tyler Perry can't afford the likes of Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Will Smith or Halle Berry. Perhaps not even Zoe Saldana (because her star is rising and she will demand a lot of money), so Tyler goes after cheaper, but equally talented actors like Boris, Michael Jai White, Kerry Washington (in his newest movie) etc. Being cast in Tyler Perry projects would keep someone like Boris employed for a long time.

..... Didnt see this coming at all.

:barf: :awesome:

I thought it already got a fullseeason pickup. Guess not. Is 5mill even bad by NBC standards nowadays?

Okay. He's guested on lots of (non Perry related) shows. It's just strange you seem to think him and Perry are "destined" for each other.

I could also see Boris Kodjoe as a replacement for a departing cast member on an existing show. Perhaps maybe Private Practice should Taye Diggs leave to show to go back to New York and do some Broadway. Or he could sit out the rest of this TV season and wait for a show to bring in a full time cast, such as Law and Order: Los Angeles.

Memo to all actors who's TV shows are on the bubble: go after an existing TV show. Those shows are always looking for recurring roles during the middle of seasons with the options in that if they do well in those roles, they could be full time cast members the following season.

They got up to 11 and gave up a hint at what the big mystery was about dealing with Sam's mentor.

wait...Chase is still alive? I thought it got canceled? Or maybe I figured it was going too......
