J.R.R Tolkien Biopic on the way!

I will also second that motion.

Still, it'll be interesting to see them develop the Tolkien/Lewis bromance

Lord of the Rings > Narnia > Conan

Howard can be the villain.

Moorcock is Tolkien's nemesis...or viceversa. Something covering Tolkien's time in the trenches and its influence on the creation of Middle Earth would be a pretty strong draw.

It's scarily uncanny. [in regards to purported resemblance between Tolkien and Cumberbatch.]

I'm sorry, sir, but you either have the sight of a Nazgul or your love of the halfling's leaf has clearly slowed your mind. Tolkien and Cumberbatch look nothing alike other than being both white males of English descent.

Which is all you need really. Cumberbatch looks nothing like Turing either but pulled it off.

Of course, a ton of resemblance is not required for biopics unless the subject of the film has an incredibly iconic and distinctive physical appearance. (eg. Churchill) I was just commenting on the over-the-top declarations of uncanny resemblance, not the suitability to play the part.

I admit I am not an avid Cumberbatch follower, but if he did this, would it be a rare time when he plays a traditional male romantic lead (of sorts)? His insane female following would swoon if this was marketed mainly as a love story.

Trailer....

Cannot wait for this.....am there opening night.....

Finally we'll get to see what everybody is Tolkien about.

I'm bad at this. :o
