I just realized that the sequel can't be named Avatar 2 since Jake no longer uses an Avatar body.
t:
He's already mapped it out while making this one, and he's practically the king of sequels. There's no doubt in my mind he'll create something new for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Why exactly did you create this thread when we already had a thread discussing the sequel(s)

I can't believe Avatar has it's own wiki.![]()
I'm interested to see more of Pandora for sure. Not sure what he'll come up with as far as the villain is concerned.
exactly.James Cameron planned the sequels a long time ago so I dont know why people are complaining...its not like he said "wow...this is making a lot of money. Ill think of a sequel" (ala POTC).
Besides, you dont have to worry about the series getting tarnished because that is INEVITABLE. This is Fox we are talking about. If cameron doesn't do a sequel we will get probably 5 more from c-list directors. Then we're probably going to end up with a reboot when one of them ends up being a disappointment. This movie has made so much money and Fox is so money hungry...you know that this will happen, unfortunately.....So why not let Cameron make one or two good sequels before its screwed up?
the point of hes character is to make trouble in the movie and to destroy the tree. he is not important to the main characters and he has no place in the sequel.Lang said in a interview he might be back and that those arrows didn't kill him and they still have his DNA somewhere.
I wonder if he comes back as a Avatar himself?
i would like for the sequel higher frame rates. they did some tests and they said that 60 frames is enough for the human eyes. you dont need more.
i think the problem is that we after so many years got used to the strobing effect that we get with movies.its nto so obvious with a normal 2D movie. but its very obvious with a 3D movie.
i did some search on the internet and i found this.15 frames,30 and 60 frames.

i am sure that Cameron is smart enough to not make a movie that looks cheap because of the frame rates. i hope he will find a solution.

Cameron is using digital cameras.Err... WTF?
The existing 35mm projectors around the planet can typically run at 24FPS and often have options to operate at 25FPS or 30FPS as needed. If I switch a Kinoton FP30D up to 30FPS the film really starts clattering through the gate area pretty harshly. At 60? I wonder how much of the emulsion layer is going to shake out onto the floor.
Then there are the platters. We can physically fit 3 hours of footage onto an existing platter system. Many platters are not actually large enough to physically handle a Lord of the Ring extended edition print, so 60FPS movies would need an intermission at about 1.5 hours. Yuck?
What about television?
PAL: 25FPS
NTSC: 30FPS
I can't see any 60's in there either.
Long story short, Cameron is not going to film something at double the playback rate of the playback equipment. And that's before looking at the studio position on doubling some of the prep time and production costs.
did you watch the 3 examples in my link?Cameron is pushing to do that thought, he wants to see 60FPS in the near future
Cameron is using digital cameras.
Will Master Chief visit Pandora?
*Cameron was angry at Halo fanboys for claiming the helicopter designs were ripped off from Halo, specifically the Hornet

he's talking about Aliens, which bungie admitsi think he then said Halo copied his ship..... somehow![]()
if Halo can copy his ideas, he should have the same rightnone of that explains the Hornet though lol
