While I prefer the original title 'Animal Rescue' I could see why they changed.

Hardy's got a real Gosling thing going on with his voice.

Tom Hardy just wants to be Robert DiNiro

De Niro crossed with Brando crossed with Gary Oldman. If you've ever heard Hardy talk about Oldman in an interview, he's seriously like, practically in love with him.

Gandolfini looks great here. I'm not surprised that their marketing focused on this being his last film. It seems to be a showy, scene stealing role like Nolte in Warrior.

It's also fun seeing Hardy and Schoenaerts in a movie together because I always thought the latter is a Belgian version of the former. I slightly favor Schoenaerts in the hotness scale though. :funny: Agreed with the Gosling thing.

It's so weird how much I've lukewarmed on Rapace.

That puppy is everything to me. :hrt:

Looks better than I'd imagined
look forward to it

When is this set? The money at the end is old.

I'm writing a screenplay entitled Europeans And Canadians Do Tough New York Accents For 134 Minutes. Our aim is to get Ratner to direct, but if that falls through we'll settle for Scorsese.

Gandolfini finished filming, he and Hardy (who both own rescue dogs) did a charity for a local animal shelter, and then shortly after Gandolfini went on vacation to Italy, where he died of a sudden heart attack.

I'd kind of like to see Hardy vary it up from the "quiet, stoic guy" he's more-or-less been in Warrior, Lawless, and if the trailers are any indication, this.

I know he has a lot more range from earlier roles, but in Lawless IMO he was underplayed and subdued almost to a fault, and in the trailers for this he seems to have pretty much the same demeanor. I'd kind of rather not have almost his next role from Lawless be another one where he barely changes his facial expression.

Hadn't heard about this until just now, Hardy alone already has my interest but the combo of Hardy and Gandolfini is far too good to pass up.
