DC Television James Gunn's Suicide Squad’ Spinoff Series ‘Peacemaker’ Starring John Cena on HBO Max

John Cena's acting skills really are a pleasant surprise on this show. Every week he gets better with the material given to him.

That being said, I think Gunn ruined the scene where Robert Patrick gets killed. We didn't need for Vigilante and Economos to start their banter, it took away from Peacemaker's dramatic moment. But this was a strong episode.

I have a quivering feeling that Adebayo is going bye bye in the finale.

i loved this episode but that was my only criticism that scene didn't need comedy

But yeah, the weakest aspect of this show has to be what they’ve done with Judomaster. Like; what really is his role in all of this? I assume we’ll get some revelations there next week but I didn’t really like him hunting down and attacking Harcourt and Adebayo because it seemed kinda pointless.

It's setting up for Eagly to get him because he always has a bag of chips.

Anyone betting we get another Waller appearance in the finale? I feel like watching Adebayo be publicly chewed out by her mom would go a long way toward winning Peacemaker’s trust back.

It is definitely setting up that way. This wreaks of "Waller comes in to clean up the mess" which leads to Adebayo going after her and having the team back her.

I'm thinking more like a post-credit scene of Waller walking in to ID her daughter's body, looking at her and saying "I told you that empathy would get you killed" and tearfully vowing to put Peacemaker in the morgue. Thus setting up season 2.

I just have a feeling Adebayo is going to sacrifice herself to save Chris, and that's not going to sit well with the Wall.

So the question as to whether or not WB is happy with the Peacemaker streaming numbers has been answered. I'm glad this one is getting a second season.

I love this cast, so my preference would be for all of them to come back for the second season. But If somebody does bite it in the finale - Economos maybe? - I'd love to see Judo Master join the crew.

Well that was an awesome action packed finale

Did not expect for two certain characters to pop up towards the end but it was quite a pleasant surprise. Their banter was hilarious and really fitting with this show’s theme

Gunn, Cena, and the rest of the cast & crew completely defied all expectations with this series. Glad to hear we are getting a second season and that Gunn is also developing another spinoff

Good to see WB put their faith in James Gunn because thus far he has been 2 for 2 with his DC projects

The finale was good, I actually thought Economos was the standout character in the episode. The cameos were the real talking point of it though, I can see why Gunn kept episode 8 secret until now.

I was surprised to see the JL there of course but what went through my head was "Oh, they're just body doubles....HOLY **** THAT'S MOMOA!". The cameos were funny enough but I'm curious to see the reactions from the Snyderites, lol.

I have a feeling that Waller will be back in a big way in season 2. Between this and Task Force X betraying her in The Suicide Squad, she's got a lot of bones to pick. I just don't think this season had enough room to give Waller the time she deserves. They kind of had their hands full with antagonists between the butterflies and the racist T-1000.

It was a much better series than i was expecting. The cameos were fun. Sad that one is relegated to the shadows from now on.

The only thing i dont like is Gunns continued treatment of Waller. He makes her look incompetent when this woman stands w/Batman in thinking ahead but Gunn keeps making her look like a fool. Not to mention he originally planned to kill her off in TSS.
