Jason Aaron takes over Ghost rider and Wolverine

Hmm. I portend that anyone over Way on GHOST RIDER will be better. Way has that...way about him.

Ooh, that was terrible.

So I guess he's just doing a 4 issue arc with Wolverine, not taking it on full time? Admittedly I just glanced through that interview, but thats what I got out of it. You would think since Wolverine's one of Marvel's most popular heroes they would try to have some consistency to it.

If you guys read scalped you'll know this is very good news for Wolverine and Ghost Rider.

I don't doubt that at all, I'm just trying to figure out why Marvel won't put a permanent writer on Wolverine. Is there something I missed when it comes to that?

Hmm....Wolverine as a solo character sucks??? I dunno, I guess they're waiting to sign the guy who writes Prison Break for the job (Honestly, whoever writes Prison Break should try his hand at Batman).

I'm not even looking at it from the standpoint of whether or not he's a good character. You would think that if he's so damn popular they'd do whatever they could to make his title at least somewhat relevant.

The problem is Wolverine is way too overexposed. Like Batman at an uber-level. Also, honestly, a guy can't write a good WOLVERINE story without tieing it to a major event. I picked up Wolverine after the whole Fatal Attractions event when he lost his adamantium and all but lost interest when he got it back. Then during Civil War he played Nitro-hunter and then went back into dreg stories. Seriously, with a barebones rogues gallery there not much you can do with him...except pit him against Sabretooth for th 1000000th time. Warren Ellis had a good run on the book....but that too was short term.

What was Ellis' run about?

Seems like a pretty cool guy. I'm already picking up those titles, but I think I'll take him up on Scalped if I can find it. Sounds interesting. Any of you guys read it?

I will read Ghost Rider if and only if someone brings Dan Ketch in for a cameo to at least explain what the fook happened to him, if not make him a co-star.

I just started it and I'm reserving judgement. I'm not big into the "violence for violence's sake" thing, and I'm hoping that's not what's happening here. I'm only a few pages in, so hopefully, it's a wrong impression.

Yeah, there's definitely a clear reason for everything.

Holy God, Ron Garney is awesome.

I love Garney so much. He messed up a couple of details on both Wolverine and Cyclops' costumes, but I don't even care. I think he's one of the only artists who still draws belts around people's waists, too; everyone else seems to have moved down to the hips (including myself whenever I draw costumes, I admit).

Wolverine and Mystique hanging out together is a good idea. I could see a lot of fun interplay in that arrangement.

What did he mess up? The only thing I see is that he drew underpants on Wolverine on the cover. He got it right in the interior pages, though. What's wrong with Scott's costume, though?

It's missing the yellow trim. Although, now that I look closer and am no longer overcome by drooling at the awesomeness, I do notice that the lines are there. So that's really a colorist ****-up, not Garney's. He forgot the two yellow strips on Wolverine's gloves, too; although, now that I've searched for pictures of it to illustrate what I'm talking about, it seems more artists don't draw the yellow strips on his gloves and black strips on his boots as those who do draw them.
