Jeepers Creepers 3

i completely forgot the actress in the first movie..

come to think of it i barely remember anything

Golgo... your avatar is creepy.

I actually thought The Creeper Walks Among Us was a great title, but Cathedral will have to do.

I preferred the 2nd film to the 1st - although I couldnt work out why he went around in his van in the 1st film if he could fly around everywhere in the 2nd film.

I definately wouldnt like Salva to return though;

Aftert I found out about his being a convicted child-molester/pornograper, my estimation of the guy went from admiration to discust.

Jeepers Threequel Slowly Moves Along

You would think that Jeepers Creepers III: Cathedral would find an easier time pulling together financing. Combined, the first two entries made over $120 million worldwide, yet creator Victor Salva is having a hell of a time getting the third to fly.

Salva tells Dread Central that financing is "just" coming together - something that's been reiterated over the last year. And he says Jonathan Breck and Gina Phillips are still in line to return (the former to reprise his role as the Creeper and the latter to play Trisha Jenner again, now with a son).

We have decided that the third film should, like one and two, be different from each other in look and locale," Salva says. "After all, the highway in question 'runs the length of the state.' So you may be missing your Spanish moss fictitious Jeepers state that includes Poho, Pertwilla and Kissell County."

Salva has a number of scripts circulating through waiting for a bite. For now, you can read his story in the recently published "Dark Delicacies III: Haunted."

My guess is so that it helps him not stand out if he flew everywhere, plus it hides his strengths for when he only really needs to use them.

I think it was done so you think he was just a man and not a creature, cause that was suppose to be the thing revealed towards the end of the movie.

I love the Creeper movies...hopefully a third lives up to the previous ones.

Awesome news! The Creeper films are some of the best horror fimls to come out in this decade.

I loved the first, the second one, is just stupid poorly acted fun that I'll watch if it's on. But Philips was good and fine in the first so it's cool to bring her back. Personally, the old west thing probably would of ended up like Tremors.

Ive been waiting for this, the creeper is a bad ass scary creature villian. I want to see more of him. Hope this gets made soon.

Gina Philips is a ridiculously underrated actress, I love both films with a passion and the synopsis for the new one is great. Should be the best of the three and it's easily one of my most anticipated movies of next year.

Ray Wise is awesome, but at whatever age he'll be 23 years later, I can't imagine him being able to do much.

Damn, it's still going?

Loved the first film, very "Meh" on the second film.

I couldn't sleep for a week after I saw the first one.

I disagree. His origins should be kept a mystery and if an origin should be created I think it should date back to the biblical times. But there shouldn't be an explanation on how he became the Creeper.

It ruins the mystery and the fear factor of it. Leave it the way it is and leave it to the audience's imagination.

I find the Jeepers Creepers movies watchable, but not fantastic. That being said, I probably wouldn't mind seeing a third film. I think it would probably be better if they made a prequel. With the mythology introduced in the first two movies, making a direct sequel could take us very quickly into Jason X territory, and we certainly don't want that. It could take place in the 70s, the 50s, the 30s, the 1900s, the 1880s, etc, etc, etc.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing The Creeper in an 1800 scenario. I just don't want anything showing his origin as it ruins the mysterious mythology of it.

agreed, wish they never showed the last scene in the 2nd film, cause i was ticked off how he waited for all those years  why the hell didn't he just chop the guy up into little pieces, imo it would have been much better ending if the Creeper just vanished

True. We don't want to pull a Rob Zombie and ruin the mystery (*cough* Halloween *cough*). I wouldn't mind seeing his first appearance though.

A movie set in the 70s sounds awesome. A few kids with fros and peace signs makes for a great Creeper meal.

went through different sites, all sounded pretty much the same

Nightmare has already posted this last year, just wanted to post it again just in case anyone missed it

I'm guessing it has something to do with the old church from the first one.

As for all of the riff-raff about taking the Creeper back to the old west that supposedly happens in this third chapter, but from what Salva told Fango it appears to be a small part of the movie, a prologue within the first few minutes of the pic. Apparently, this prologue will shed some light on how the Creeper becomes a dark part of cowboy and Native American folklore.

In regards to the overall story, Salva said part three will be picking up right where number two left off; a 23rd spring is right around the corner and an old adversary has some designs on revenge against the Creeper:

"I will say,"
Salva reveals, "
that one aspect of the third film features Trish Jenner [again played by the original's Gina Philip's], who, 23 years later, has a teenage son of her own, named Darry after her long-lost brother. Trish is having a terrible recurring dream where her son meets the same terrible fate as her brother. Now a rich and powerful woman, Trish is determined to stop the Creeper once and for all."
