Does anyone else remember this game? I don't think it was very well-liked among critics and gamers alike, and for good reason. The gameplay was complete and utter crap. But, I was about seven years old at the time of its release, and to a first grader, Jersey Devil was the pinnacle of fine gaming. For years, I've considered it one of my favorite games of all-time, and I still do, though it has more to do with nostalgic value than the game actually being any good.

I was never a very good gamer, so I was never able to finish the game myself, but at the time, my step father was unemployed and, having nothing to do, became absolutely obsessed with the game. He would play it literally all day, every day, spouting various strings of profanity at the television whenever poor camera controls or glitches would cause him to lose a life. At first I was annoyed that he was hogging my Playstation, but eventually I took to sitting on the floor in front of the TV, watching him play. I was a bit sad when he finally beat the game.

Over the years, I'd occasionally pop the game in my PS2 for old time's sake, until a few years ago, when I sold all of my old Playstation games. While it had its many flaws, thanks to the developers, Jersey Devil was an extremely fun game and one of my childhood favorites.
