This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]472973[/split]
If Zach Snyder had a clear understanding of the characters, Man of Steel wouldn't have gotten 55% on Rotten Tomatoes.
EDIT: And Superman wouldn't have killed Zod.
MOS supes just needs to smile for his next murder. Then the whole situation becomes whimsical rather than the maligned "Dark and Gritty."![]()
Just reposting what I had before the almighty thread manager got me:
I think a character is defined by what he does. Race and sexual orientation don't change the characters in my eyes.
Needs more realizm.![]()

LOL Now we're talkin
Yes! Superman does kill Zod in the comics! You got me....
However, I really hate to nag... but Superman only came to that decision after Zod murdered an entire alternate Earth. And Superman hated himself so much for doing it that DC devoted an entire series to his self imposed exile.
And yes yes of course, the whole Doomsday thing.... You know how much the death of Superman comics are worth these days? Barely anything. Know why? Because that storyline was a publicity stunt.
And it was horrible.
But you're absolutely right, he has killed in the comics before. Perfect thing to put in a stagnant movie franchise.
People enjoy things that you do not, and you know what? You may never know why. Accept it. It's one of life's many mysteries.
That's something even The Doctor or Sherlock can't figure.
