I think this might be the first time that someone called this movie a Superman movie.

While I am against seeing the power suit, does anyone think we could see Luthor in his classic purple, collared and crossed bandolier, green pants get up? Not an exact replica of course but something in that flavor? Say like a modern tactical gear set up in that style? Like what Ross did in the JUSTICE series?

Well... I am not suggesting it be his "costume" but if Lex were prepared for a dangerous situation for a scene or two I could see him wanting to be prepared. And having what he wears be a nod to the classic suit would be nice. Plus, I think we could see the possibility of a LOD at some point and him leading that group lends itself to him wearing something more than a three piece. Just a thought. I ain't married to the idea or anything.

Oh I see what you mean now. That actually would be fine. I just don't want him going in to fight Superman or anything like that. But if his building is under attack or something like that and he needs protection I'd be happy with a little nod to his old suit.

I think a good "field HQ" look if he has to command the LOD would be to take something like Alex Ross's update of the suit, and put a white jacket on top, then have the outfit be more of a teleport-hologram-tech suit he uses to evade capture if things go haywire.

maybe when cornered he will be a funny cowering sniveling weasel and the Supes takes pity, then Lex "tricks" him again... as usual.

It's possible he's referring to just superheroes in general, who must be popping up everywhere like weeds to him. And the cliche image of a superhero is someone dropping down from the sky to rescue someone, so it's possible.
