This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]496109[/split]
It's a reference to Paul Revere's famous "warning ride" prior to the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which basically kicked off the American Revolutionary War.
Is Paul Revere really such an obscure historical character?
His Devils come from the sky line really reminds me of that Gods are selfish beings who fly around in little red capes line from Superman Returns. Say what you will about versions of Lex but those two lines are great Lex lines.

Maybe...we're getting dumber by the minute....but I think his call "the Redcoats are coming" should still be known
Well I'm excused because I'm British and uneducated![]()
Man the size of that Kryptonite Lex had.![]()
It's like one line to a paragraph in most American History textbooks anyhow.
Spacey made up for Superman Returns by giving us the best "Lex Luthor" ever put to screen.
Francis J Underwood.

The film appearing to be clever than it actually is?![]()
Not since the reboot. They made him chubby and showed him chugging down energy drinks all the time, hence his envy of Superman.I'm getting the impression that we may only see bald Luthor at the end of the movie, which is disappointing. Otherwise, I'm enjoying what we're seeing of Luthor so far. It's good to know that WB's mission statement to produce mature and weighty superhero films doesn't exclude eccentric and aloof villains. That type of personality makes the crimes he commits all the more heinous.
I enjoy the dynamic between this Superman and Luthor. Take away his fortune and intellect, this Luthor is the most unseemly person to become the arch nemesis of the world's strongest man - whereas the comic book version is still a formidable and good-looking man in his own right.
