Jessica Alba & Johnny Depp Are America's Fantasy New Year's Dates According to Survey by Blockbuster Inc.
Wednesday December 27, 5:00 am ET

DALLAS, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- "Fantastic Four" heroine Jessica Alba and the swashbuckling Johnny Depp of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" are America's top choices for a fantasy New Year's date, according to a survey by Blockbuster Inc.
(NYSE:BBI - News, BBI.B - News).

Other top picks for a celebrity New Year's date included "Black Dahlia" starlet Scarlett Johansson and the debonair George Clooney of "Ocean's Twelve."

Whether you choose to believe them or not, most claim their interest in their fantasy date is purely platonic. Seventy percent say their choice for New Year's date is someone fun to hang out with, while only 15 percent said they selected someone they'd want to kiss at midnight.

An unexpected top choice for fantasy New Year's date was Sean Connery. The original James Bond hasn't lost his charm, as he was the runaway favorite among respondents 50+. Halle Berry was the definitive favorite among actresses chosen by respondents over 50.

screw all these people who have jumped on the johnny depp bandwagon just based on his role in the pirates of the carribean movies. he's been one of the best actors in hollywood for 15+ years now but didn't get any respect from mainstream america before he played jack sparrow. now he's the sexiest most desirable male celebrity because of his popularity. where were these idiots when he was playing quirky outcasts and drug-addled auteurs?

I've been on the JD bandwagon since Edward Scissor hands...

Well this doesn't to a big surprise to me. There are a bunch of JA bandaggon jumpers outside of the hype.

This poll is bogus, these are basic: "Who would you like to *****" answers. I would really like to go on a date with Jeremy Piven or Sam Huntington because they are funny, charismatic guys, but not necessarily to sleep with them. :)

How can you take this poll seriously, when Oprah Winfrey is tied for number 5?

So you wanna date the funny guy and boink the good looking guy?
Duh! :) Well... not simultaneously obviously. I'm shallow but I'm not a ****. :yay:

Thats why you found a gy whos both good looking and funny.

If I had a list to make of 100 women to go on a New Year's Date with who I would eventually have to kiss at midnight, yeah Oprah wouldn't be near the top, no matter her stroke or money.

Maybe she was the top vote for lesbian women?

I mean outside of the hype. and most of the women in that thread posted are almost as big as oprah anyway. So what's it matter?

Just questioning the how anyone can take this survey from Blockbuster seriously.
