JL Rumored Cast: Who Would You Recast?

I gotta say DJ Cotrona. He looks NOTHING like Superman and is only 5' 9', which is ENTIRELY TOO SHORT.

Armie Hammer as Batman would be my second choice. he's 6' 5', which is waaaaaaaay too tall for Batman.

I know, I totoally agree, maybe they should switch roles or something

If I actually did have a choice to recast at least one of the rumored cast members, I would sign-off D.J. Cotrona, even though I do see something in him that does resemble Supes. But, since Supes is my favorite and I care more about his casting than any other League member, he would be the first I'd fix.

Well the majority of the rumors was the villains were to be the omacs, max lord, and talia. There was that crazy script which turned out to be false with the crime syndite of america(spelling).

Oh, hell no. Everyone is completely in the right by saying Cotrona is wrong for Supes.

I'm just saying that fanboys are notoriously nitpicky about the actors playing their favorite characters.

A rumored early draft was said to have Darkseid and Dr. Light in it, along with the white martians, OMACs, and maxwell lord and talia (???).

If you want the link, let me know, even tho most the info has been proven false. They said things like Leo diCRAPrio was being considered for aquaman and mel gibson was gonna play maxwell lord and the main flash was wally west not barry and that the martian manhunter was really a white martian in disguise all along and that WW killes him. So after all that, I wonder exactly how much of that was actually true.

Eye color and hair color is one thing, but in order to change that and make the actor look like the character they're playing you have to have something to start with, a foundation. That stuff is nonexistant with Cotrona.....

They're the people who "would swear that armie hammer was cast as batman". Makes me wonder how true that is.....

Same for Cotrona. Hollywood reporter said he was cast as supes, everywhere else it was said that he was most likely playing batman. they also said that anton yelchin is playing wally west/kid flash in the fiilm, but we know that's not true cuz he's doing other movies, the new terminator being among them.

Hollywood Reporter said ZERO about Brody playing ANY Flash, tho everywhere else it was said that he was playing the flash/barry allen in the film.

I really have NO idea what to believe anymore.....

I'd like to believe that they have a killer cast with great superman and batman actors that we just haven't seen yet....

Adam Brody has confirmed that he is playing Flash several times (and so did Scott Porter), so has Gale and Common. Its Cotrona and Hammer who are the rumours and i hope they stay that way

Yea i still say number 1 ger rid of cotrona and get an little bit older actor in who looks like superman and can give off the presence of the character. Then secondly as i said hammer his height and is young age are what knocks him for me. But he could work if they play him to be older then his actual age and he is in the suit the whole film and little to no bruce wayne scenes in the film. But if they recast replace him to with a more suitable actor too. I keep wondering why the hell they go with mid 30s people for ww/gl but go with younger supes and bats when they all should be around the same age and then flash the younger of the group in late teens-mid/late 20s.

Hammer is too tall, and Cotrona is too short. Well flip them around have Super be played by Hammer and Batman be played by Cotrona. I read some Superman/Batman comics and sometimes Supes is taller than bats. When Cotrona gets in the boots, I'm sure they'll boost his height alittle. They can make boots that prop him uo to at least 6'0 feet without them looking like frankenstein platform shoes. It depends on the soles of the shoes or boots. I'm 5'9, I but on shoes I'm 5'11. I boot on boots I'm 6'0.

I'm sure they can make combat boots to prop DJ up. But if they need to be replaced then they have to be replaced. That's the problem with casting a younger cast for these types of movies. Common is good, Gale I can tolerate now, Brody is good, but I agree Hammer and Cotrona are a problem. Waiting for Bale and Routh would've saved trouble, but if they want to go ahead with the movie fine. I'm sure they can somehow use movie magic to make the cast work.

Again if they need to recast:

Superman: Henry Cavill

Batman: David Boreanaz

Now something that gets me is Aquaman. I know he's rumored to be played by Santiago Cabrera. I think that is a major casting mistake. I'd Ryan Mcpartlin or even Michale Fassbender as Aquaman.

scott porter NEVER once said he was cast as flash. All he said was that he had auditioned for him and eventually lost the part.
