JLA: do you want it or not?

I'm a fan of the JLA, but that would be way too many superheroes in one film. They wouldn't be able to focus on all the characters properly. The same thing happened with the X-Men films, thats why a lot of characters where left out of the movies and what makes you think that, that wont happen with this movie, if it ever gets made??

From what I've heard this movie sounds all jumbled and dumb, and I also heard they shelved it.

So no I don't want it and it sounds like it's been dumped.

If they are gonna have to wait for all solo flicks to finish they'd have to make another reboot of the Batman series, and I believe that wont happen for decades. Then if they had to make a JLA it would be smarter to make solo flcks afterwards.

Well to be totally honest we have no clue what wb/dc is planning to do with jla. Same goes for solo films too.

CLEAN SLATE....Do a JLA film but not this one.....get a new director and cast and write an EPIC script.

Yea i hope they do, do a clean slate, and get new crew director and story. It should be treated correctly and it should be a epic film like along the lines of lord of the rings or the narina books/films, or harry potter. I jsut hope we dont have to wait 10-15 yrs for jla to happen. If they dont do jla in the next 1-3 yrs i really hope they will atless get some solo films on the silver screen for gl/flash/ww/ etc......

Well you can't really blame them for not trying when batman and superman aren't making them loads of money. I would say its best to wait for one solo flick of each of the lesser characters and after the batman trilogy. Depending on TDK it could be sooner if it does bad and much later if it does good.

I'm open to Routh but Miller's cast sux! With the negative buzz this movie would receive you are looking at $200M BO domestically compared to $350M for Avengers cuase the hype for both of these movies are going in 2 different directions.

I'm not actually surprised at the negative reaction DC fans have toward WB and what should be the king of all superhero films, especially now when they see how Marvel have started doing things in the lead up to Avengers (assuming it gets made).

By the time a film like 'Avengers" gets released (if that becomes the title) expectations will be higher that $350M due to inflation.

Yeah, but my point is if worldwide icons (Bats/Supes) can't beat an unknown property like 300, what's the use of spending 150 to 200M on The Flash? It's better to release a 200M dollar movie based on a group that includes an array of heroes that people want to see, including Bats/Supes. Then WB can branch out to individual films (a la X-Men's Wolverine movie) if JLA is successful. I just think JLA has a much better chance at the box office, than The Flash and especially Wonder Woman.


Let JLA lead and individual projects follow.

They need a really good director, writers, and a knockout cast in order for this film to make the kind of $$$ they want.
Sure it will cost them to do that, but you gotta spend it to make it.
Doing it on the cheap is just asking for a bomb.
