I'm looking for a big JLA action arc while at the same time explaining the origins of the team especially everyone besides the trinity.

I was thinking of picking this up this morning, should I?

It's not in continuity anymore but it's still a good read, I think it's worth picking up.

It's a fantastic book, pick it up.

Just pencil in a tiara on Black Canary, and BOOM! you have the "new Earth" JLA.

Batman and Superman are also founding members of the New Earth JLA.

They should do a new Justice League origin story that has the Big 7 plus Black Canary.

No they shouldn't. They should just leave Waid's masterpiece in continuity.

Even if it's out of continuity,a great story is a great story. This was a thrill to read.

Actually, even in Year One, they were "founding members," since they helped deal with the initial Apelexian crisis. But they didn't actually join the team until a year or two later.

Like somebody said, just imagine Wonder Woman in the background of every panel, and JLY1 still works out fine.
