Okay, so I'm a currently unemployed college student. However, I recently applied for a part-time/seasonal job at a local mall.
I interviewed last Wednesday while the employers were on-campus. I did well in the interview and apparently passed the inane phone test they asked me to take. They called last Friday and asked if I could come in that Saturday for training.
So I guess that means I got the job.
Anyway, I couldn't come in because I was back home with family. I told them that I'd be back in town soon and they could call me then.
So I'm expecting a call from them this weekend asking me to come in for training. The problem is, I've really thought about it and I've decided I really don't want to take the job.
I have absolutely no social skills whatsoever, so I'm just curious as to the best way to politely let them know that I am no longer interested in the job. Someone suggested just not answering the phone when they call, but that's rude and I really don't want to be Rudy McRuderson.
Do you guys have any advice? I'm totally lost.
