Okay, so I'm a currently unemployed college student. However, I recently applied for a part-time/seasonal job at a local mall.

I interviewed last Wednesday while the employers were on-campus. I did well in the interview and apparently passed the inane phone test they asked me to take. They called last Friday and asked if I could come in that Saturday for training.

So I guess that means I got the job.

Anyway, I couldn't come in because I was back home with family. I told them that I'd be back in town soon and they could call me then.

So I'm expecting a call from them this weekend asking me to come in for training. The problem is, I've really thought about it and I've decided I really don't want to take the job.

I have absolutely no social skills whatsoever, so I'm just curious as to the best way to politely let them know that I am no longer interested in the job. Someone suggested just not answering the phone when they call, but that's rude and I really don't want to be Rudy McRuderson. :csad:

Do you guys have any advice? I'm totally lost. :csad:

Thank you for your interest in me, but I am not able to accept at this time. However, if the situation changes I will let you know.

My God.
Call them and tell them that you're sorry but you can't take the job after all and apologize for any inconvenience you may've caused.
God.

If you need any pointers on how to tie your shoes or wipe your ass, make a thread and we'll be here for you.

Yeah, sometimes people say rude things on the Hype, like when I was a called a "dip****" and told to "stick it" because I wanted a CGI Thing in the Fantastic Four movie, and when I was a called a "loser" and told by a fellow poster that she wished my Mom had aborted me and hopes I had a miserable childhood because I said she'd probably like Gatorade when she grew up?

Why, GoldenAgeHero once said he hopes my house burns down with me trapped inside. So, hmmm degrees.

Remember that one time I called you a "biscuit head"? Damn.

No, you're a lot better at being rude than that.
That was in the "Gatorade or Powerade" poll thread, by I SEE SPIDEY.
 It was weird.

What did I ever do to you?

Oh, I could have sworn I told you I wished you were aborted. Too many I's. It's all a big jumble now.

that was a little rude...

Actually, it was accurate... I know that if someone made a thread asking those questions I would probably try to answer them as completely and comprehensibly as possible. :oldrazz:

It was kind of rude over in the "favorite band" thread where BeserkerHilf just called someone a "***" because they like Reliant K.
I think that's even blatantly against the rules of the Hype,
Hmmm....

Nothing. I love you.
But you have to admit, you're "totally lost"??
Come on. You just tell 'em "Sorry, I don't want the job after all." Right?
What else can you do, buy 'em flowers, take 'em to movie, go work for them anyway out of guilt?

It was more along the lines, you should know better. This ain't rocket science.

Yeah, I admit it. I'm getting pretty sick of the undue attention I get from some mods. For instance, the thing I was banned for?
I have never, never, never posted anything unless I've seen it posted by a hundred other established posters for almost 2 years. But they never got banned.

And here's a guy calling someone a "***", while I'm making a joke about shoe-tying lessons because this question is so obvious.
Whatever.

Call the general number and say 'It's not you, it's me' to the first person who answers.

Don't wait for a response. You will then have absolved yourself of all further responsibility.

NO ONE gets away with calling someone a cigarette. Show me where he is, I'll kick his ass. :cmad:

I don't talk to people often so I have no idea what I'm supposed to say on certain social occasions. :csad:

What'd you get banned for? I missed it.

PM me and then lets do the nasties.
