I've been dying for anything...we haven't even seen a logo yet, I imagine the trailer might go with Pirates since it's Disneys big one this summer.

Well, after what Stanton said, I'm curious.

Or Cars 2.

POTC would be better since its an adventure PG13 movie.

this is like Avatar. not a single picture. so we have no idea how this will look or feel.

That interview must be really old, it was done before Taylor chopped all his hairs off. :( (And I still want to know when the heck Bang Bang Club is coming to the US anyhow!) :argh:

I'm really hoping that a trailer will come soon because I want to see the look of this film that's different from the illustrations by Frank Frazetta.

'John Carter of Mars' is now simply titled 'John Carter'

I guessing that they were scared of any association with the craptastic Mars Needs Moms. That seems very unlikely, but that's the best guess I have. :p

enough. enough and enough.

give me one official image ;)

Why did they do that? Taking out 'of Mars' from the title gives no clue what it's about while keeping it at least shows its setting is in space and hints that's an adventure.

No John Carter teaser trailer, Mars or not, on the Pirates movie. At least not the one I saw.:(

Oh, awesome, a movie about Noah Wylie's character on ER! :awesome:

:csad:

You all know that's what people are going to think this is now.

I do hope that they change the title to something else or switch it back. I mean seriously, which wise guy came up with the bright idea?

If someone Tweets something...does that always make it so? :p

Well, I'm not really sure but I think so. I found about the title change for In Time a week ago; and in that tweet it said that they change the title to In Time. So it must be legit then.

But Whyle's character was the best on that show.

"Honey, do you wanna see that lawyer movie, "John Carter"?

Seriously, what a stupid move. That makes it sound so boring. It's not even an interesting sounding name on his own and it's not like the name is so recognizable that people are going to make the connection that it's a sci-fi movie.

Kind of reminds me of Arnold's character in Last Action Hero. He was in a series of movies that were all called "Jack Slater." I always found that stupid. But it was probably intentionally dumb there; not so here.

ha! Disney eh, what a bunch of loons. They probably did it so they don't offend the Earth demographic :cwink:

Most ads usually end up doing this anyway when the movie title is more than five words or something. The narrator in the commercials would just call it "John Carter" even if "John Carter of Mars" is on the screen, you know?

Yeah, you're right. I remember when they did that with The League of Excremental Gentlemen. The ads just called it "The League."
