Horror John Krasinski and Emily Blunt find A Quiet Place

Looks interesting. Visually beautiful as well: I love the lighting and colors. (Or maybe I've just watched that muted Solo trailer too many times).

I believe this is a new trailer. I've been seeing it posted everywhere...looks like an "extended" look from the Super Bowl tv spot.

I still haven't watched the Super Bowl trailer. I'm fine going into the film with only the first teaser they released.

Went through that trailer frame by frame and looked at the news papers and the stuff written on that white board. Some of the things it reveals:

1. The creatures don't eat the things they kill.

2. Bullets and bombs unable to kill them.

3. The creatures have some sort of impenetrable body armor.

4. American military was defeated and said they couldn't protect people.

5. The creatures are blind.

6. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed in Shanghai at some point.

7. Magnetic Pulses crippled Wall Street.

#5 there might explain the "don't make certain sounds and they cannot find/hunt you" thing. Kind of reminds me of the Graboids from Tremors (just above ground) in that regard actually.

Happy seeing all the positive reactions from SXSW. Can't wait for this one.

This is getting excellent reactions! So happy for John and Emily

The reviews I read have been awesome so far. I can't wait.

Pretty great seeing the reactions! Definitely going to see this in April!

I’m SO excited to see this. The early reviews are spectacular and then of course this has Emily and John! :hrt:

First Peele, now Jim from The Office... if Danny McBride ****s up Halloween, I swear to God...

I consider Annihilation a horror movie of sorts, so between that, this, Hereditary, Halloween, Suspiria, and maybe The Nun, this could be a hell of a year for the genre.

Teaser for this was superb, great to see it getting such good reactions.

I know they have to talk eventually in the film due to probably already being found out by the creatures, but if the bulk of it movie is dead silence and them just signing everything I would be very impressed by that direction work.

Not sure if this is a spoiler, so proceed with caution:

Sounds a bit too juvenile for a story like this.

Eh. Some have a foot fetish, some have that.

What does a fetish have to do with fart humor being in the film? Are you just assuming the director put that in the film because he has a fetish for that sort of thing?

The tweet didn’t specify if it was meant to be humorous or not. There are plenty of context where a fart isn’t played for laughs and a film where silence keeps you alive is one of them. And I was merely being tongue-in-cheek when I said it was a fetish. I can’t believe you’re so hung up on some random, throwaway post.

:funny:

One of the most recent TV spots showed a quick shot of the creature and I'm kind of disappointed. :funny: I wanted that to be a surprise.

Please do yourself a, favor and go see this knowing as little as possible, as I did. This is a beautiful, unique movie that deserves to be seen.

Don't miss this in theaters! I can't wait to see it again. I didn't think 2018 could be as strong as 2017, but damn... what a gem we've got already!
