Horror John Krasinski and Emily Blunt find A Quiet Place

Of course the closest theater to me that is showing this is an hour away.

Been really looking forward to this film we are close

Please do yourself a, favor and go see this knowing as little as possible, as I did. This is a beautiful, unique movie that deserves to be seen.

Don't miss this in theaters! I can't wait to see it again. I didn't think 2018 could be as strong as 2017, but damn... what a gem we've got already!
That's music to my ears. :woot:

I can’t stand it. I really can’t stand it. A movie that Michael Bay and his production company produced is great. Not ironically great or just decent, but what I consider to be outstanding; and it’s all thanks to Jim Halpert.

Every movement that each character makes has you at the edge of your seat because if anything falls, trips, or just makes a loud sound, you squint in concern because you know that's their ass right there.

Here's my review: http://www.rendyreviews.com/movies//a-quiet-place-review

Perfect score on RT came to an end. 56 positive, 1 negative.

It had a good run.

Flashback to when David Fincher's The Social Network had something crazy, if I remember correctly, like 100 reviews at a perfect score on RT...then someone had to come along.

I got my tickets for opening night tomorrow...7:15 showing. I honestly can't express how excited I am for this film. For a "horror" film to receive such high praise is crazy! I'm hoping it lives up to the hype and isn't another Get Out for me.

Don't usually do "horror" films. Is it more intense than full on horror? Think I'll check it out Sunday or another day off next week either way with moviepass

Some reviewers can't stand when a movie gets a perfect, they need to be that guy.

I just came back from this. In my opinion, this is easily the best horror film in a long, long time. This was wonderful and I loved everything about it. I hope this gets lots of buzz. It deserves it. The exceeded all my expectations.

Honestly, this is my favorite film so far this year. Just outstanding!

Nice. I'm gonna plan on seeing it tomorrow.

Just saw it. This was so so well crafted. John Krasinski did an amazing job directing this one. Probably the best movie I've seen this year!

Until the 27th you mean.

Just saw it. I'm totally a Horror guy...and this one delivers! The actin is phenomenal. How John Krasinski was able to create characters that seem real, that you actually care about, in a movie where very few words are even spoken, is astounding. The tension is enormous...especially during that amazing third act. Every move they make is potential death...so, it never really lets you breathe. There are a few "I squirm in my seat and almost fall out" moments that had the entire audience (which HAD to be sold out...even the seats up front were full) losing their minds. My only nitpick is that maybe the first act or so has one of two too many jumpscares, but that isnt too big of an issue.

There's some things I want to say that I feel might kinda sorta spoil things, so I won't...so I'll just end this by saying that it's very, very good and this is a great time to be a Horror fan.

This is a movie best experienced going in with no spoilers. But I agree, what this film is able to accomplish is remarkable. Very unique and I just loved it.

I knew as soon as I saw that trailer that if they could pull off this awesome premise, the movie would really be something special. And I think they absolutely did it.

Same, the trailer had me very excited, but I was reserving my hype in case it didn't live up to the concept. But boy, did they ever live up to it

I once in film school did a short film in my editing class once where I challenged myself to have no dialogue at all, and not in a silent film kind of way. I wanted to tell the story completely through visuals and sound design (it was a drama). My project got put into Best of Show that quarter and became one of the example films they would show for future classes. I was proud of that. I love things that use minimal dialogue. It's a challenge, but can ultimately make something wonderful. It forces you to be creative.

My enjoyment of this movie kind of took me back to what I loved about my own project. It was so creatively designed, and I was basically gripped to the story from the opening scene onward. I never once got distracted from anything outside of this movie. So many films get bogged down in explaining every little detail of everything in dialogue, and I find it lazy when they do it too much. Sometimes dialogue is the only way to convey something specific or transfer information from Character A to Character B. But, when a film has a grasp on visual/audio storytelling and utilizing all the other facets of film to convey meaning, I appreciate it more. It's a big reason I love Stanley Kubrick so much. So, this film is just refreshing for me.

Can't believe Jim frim The Office did it.

Him and Jordan Peele proved that comedy is closely related to horror than we thought.

Can't wait to see this tomorrow. The hype is real.

Really enjoyed it but something about it made it fall short of being great for me. Not much of a "horror" guy though

Caught the movie....Its pretty good. Emily Blunt is hot.

Just didn't like how they ended the movie. It was like so.......

sudden.....

Well that might be why it fell short for you honestly, if horror is really not your genre.
