Action-Adventure John Wick: Chapter 5

I think I said the exact same after seeing 4 for myself DS. But when I watched 4 again a little while later it just seemed the perfect place to end.

Thats what im saying. Like, sure you COULD pull a fakeout and keep him alive and continue it but the ending was so well done and lets be honest, how many movie franchises are there that stick the landing at the end and deliver a perfect story book ending to the story they were telling? They all almost always crash and burn at the finish line and usually its because its been run into the ground which i think is what Lionsgate’s gonna do to this franchise.

But, again, even though i cant see how; i will trust Stahelski and Keanu. But my cynical gut is telling me this is gonna be the start of a new trilogy and Lionsgate’s gonna milk this cow dry.

Yeah. It obvious they were leaving it ambiguous at the end of 4 but it was better they left that to our imagine and let us fill in the blank ourselves. That's why it was the perfect ending for the character but money talks in the end.

I just hope they give us something good so we'll see.

They should just bring Reeves back if it's a film that takes place in between the John Wick movies, such as the Ballerina.

I wouldn’t have been opposed to a break from the character and maybe in like 7-8 years Keanu comes back for one last epic return but this just feels like “yep we’re just gonna keep cranking these things out every two years until the box office has diminishing returns.” Its incredibly rare for any film franchise these days to just have a good satisfying storybook ending.

Not that it couldn’t be done, but Keanu would be pushing 70 by then.

I think its also hard not be cynical and not to see the desperation from Lionsgate especially after the disaster they had last year. Their investors were probably screaming “GET ANOTHER JOHN WICK GREENLIT YESTERDAY.” Lol

With the Ballerina coming out, this weekend. I gather that the team will now put all their focus on Chapter 5 of John Wick into full swing.
