John Wick: Chapter 4

4 was the best one since the first for me. But when I re-watched I REALLY felt the length.

4 feels like Chad and the team had mastered everything they wanted to honestly. Setting the incredible action aside, the film is GORGEOUS and the sense of scale is just insane. I think the film is a wonderful visual feast.

I seriously hope the plan isn't bigger is better. JW4 was easily the limit of that, otherwise it's gonna become a slog.

Hm, i dont know.
Like, getting more John Wick is cool...but after how 4 ended, it feels kind of weird.

But then i have to say, 4 didnt felt like they work towards an ending of the series to be honest.
Up until the credits i waited for a swerve because it just didnt really felt like this is the absolute end of the franchise.

Im very unsure about a possible 5th part.
But if the same people are working on it, i wouldnt be against it.

Super depressing they're doing a fifth. Absolutely no interest in further stories in this world when it could instead go out on an utterly triumphant note for all time with four. Yeah, the ending is ambiguous but I'd much prefer that to question mark linger forever instead of getting an answer. Immediately makes the fourth movie lesser.

I also, honestly, thought three was kind of dull and mostly felt like a narrative holding pattern so it really felt like the time to wrap things up to me. Which they did in magnificent fashion.

This is like Friday The 13: The Final Chapter all over again.

It seems like lionsgate keeps insisting a 5th is in the works while Chad Stahelski says it currently isn't. It's obvious lionsgate wants to continue with this, but I really really hope Chad doesn't move ahead with it unless he has an idea that absloutely works and makes sense. chapter 4, imo, was an aciton masterpiece. It was the perfect ending, and while I'm open to a 5th film, it really needs to have a reason to exist. If chapter 5 happens, fingers crossed it's for a good reason.

I'm not sure what exactly they're planning with the anime adaptation, but I'm miles more interested in that than in a fifth movie. John's story is over.

It gives you more room.
They seem desperate to milk this as much as they can, but going at it the wrong way.
Anime Adaption, prequel games etc are fine.
You have a lot of room to tell a lot that is set before John Wick 1...but the timeline after 4 is hard to tackle and im unsure if i would want that.
The John Wick Franchise has a lot to offer, but they have to be careful because you can ruin the story if you are not careful.

Like, of course i would want to see more John Wick action and stuff, but they found a nice way to end this on a high note.
Continuing going forward in time, could ruin that.

Why? i mean im willing to give it a shot as long as they dont have the main focus on it being played by a garbage person like they did with The Continental with Mel Gibson front and center...but i dont see a need for this.

I enjoyed The Continental for what is was. But I'm glad Chad, Ian, and Keanu are all involved with Ballerina!

If they do a 5th film, would they make it a prequel to the first film?
