Hello people.

With all the reviews and hype im guessing Joker will do very well and possibly outgross Deadpool & Deadpool 2 ($785 mil ww) at the boxoffice becoming the new R rated Comic Book movie king of all time.

My prediction.

Dom OW - $100 mil
Dom total - $300 mil
OS total - $450 mil
WW total - $750 mil

Logan $619M
Deadpool $783M
Deadpool 2 $778.9M

Even with all the praise it's getting, it's the lack of Action which the aforementioned had and the R-Rating that I think would keep it from grossing over $450-$500M. I will say that if any type of movie like this a Joker movie has a shot for proving me wrong but we'll see.

Joker is far more iconic and stronger as a brand than Deadpool or Logan. He is up there with the best of the best. But the R-Rating, no China, and IMO even more unlike those two movies this is a movie I absolutely would NOT recommend children attending. Cursing and blood is one thing but the sheer brutality and insanity of the Joker is just not for kids.

That said, ~700M. Took off 100m because of the clips brutality.

I'm willing to go about $780m WW.

I think it will have a loooong run.

Is the film not releasing in China?

Is this really a 700 million plus movie?

It looks like it’s an amazingly well made, r rated character study...but those kinds of movies don’t make that kind of box office.

Would about 500 max be more realistic?

I haven't seen the movie but I fully expect it to be slow, character study in the first two acts (more like art-house films), the movie will gain pace only in the third act when he starts action as The Joker. which will be exciting (or horrifying) to watch.

So, I think those going in to see fast moving story and action beats will be disappointed. I see this movie making $500 mil maximum, minimum could be around $300 mil worldwide.

Based on initial positive reviews & the fact that I myself went from having cautious interest in this to being very interested after seeing the trailer(s) I think in & around $500m given the fact that while it's a CBM I don't think it will rub everyone the right way. Particularly those that are primarily MCU fans or are going into the film waiting for Batman to show up.

Boxofficepro has a $103 mil US OW forecast with a range of $85 to $105 mil.
If it does those numbers in the US i dont see why its not doing the same at OS.

Im expecting Joker to be a surprise boxoffice hit just like Aquaman and Venom.

I think it will make around 600 mil.

How can Batman not have an effect on this movie?

Batman related.
R-Rated.
Superb cast.
Great reviews so far for the most part.

I dont see how it doesnt hit $500 mil WW at minimum.

No R-Rated movies has made over $800M.

300 hundred million world wide.

The film isn’t earth shattering or different enough to do more.

II think the film deserves to be a massive success and I hope it cut's through the BS political agendas attempting to derail the film or scare people off. So far so good with the early numbers. The movie is great.

600 m +

Yeah, cause a billion dollar earner like Fate of the Furious is all about that.

So, you’re comparing an r rated, low budget, character study with a PG summer blockbuster?

Joker will do more business because of the Batman name, but it’s not going to do the kind of money big crowd pleasing blockbusters do.

Mmmm bring in that money, you psychotic clown.

Oh it's going to get its cheddar. Front loaded or whatever .
