The Dark Knight Joker Scars: Accidental; self inflicted?

I never really got the impression that he was insane. To me he seemed like someone who was sane and if caught was gonna use the insanity plea to get off

The joker was just an evil man. But the thing is, is that evil due to a mental disorder or that was just choice.

I'd say its a little bit of both. Its obvious the Joker suffers from an array of mental disorders, but I think he has a serious grasp of what he does and he knows what he does is wrong thats why he enjoys it so much.

I wouldn't say he's completely and totally insane because he's very aware of his actions, but I do think he may have been crazy enough to self inflict the scars. In any case, I'd say the Joker himself may not remember how it happened, and with him lying to person after person about how he got the scars, it's quite possible he doesn't remember a damn thing.

I really didnt see anything insane about his actions...evil yes, insane no.

Insane: A little, what completely sane person would ever want to do the things that he would?
Self inflicted: For me I like to believe not until proven otherwise. Much like the comic book joker's becoming was an accident and not preventable. The same situation of unseeable circumstances seems to suit that of Heath's joker.

see thats the thing Joker to me should be so insane that a mere conversation with him blows your mind like Harley Quinn did

I don't think you have to be insane to do that. Just good at reading people and picking at what ticks them. After all, all it takes it a little push.
