The Dark Knight Joker Scars: Accidental; self inflicted?

wuuuuuut? next thing they'll do is change tom and jerry to make that less violent, is nothing sacred? :(

well obviously the Joker isn't, so i wouldn;t be surprised

I could do without flashbacks that show how Joker came to be or whatever. Basically defeats the entire purpose.

How so? If done right a flashback could work very well..they could also just mention it in passing..cuz to be honest it's only an important detail to fans. Most people will be too worried about what he'll do next than why he is the way he is, me thinks

I think the scars are accidentally self inflicted.

lol!

i think we wont know what they are, i think nolan has said the joker won't have an origin in the film , so i think we wont be getting any insight in to why he is the way he is.

Accidental or not, I am hoping Batman has nothing to do with inflicting them on Joker. I know in the comic books, Batman is involved in Joker's origin. Seeing as Joker doesn't seem to be getting an origin story in this movie, I hope it remains a mystery.

After the Spider-Man movies and Batman Begins, it will be nice to see a villain who has no connection to the hero.

I'd love to have Joker make those scars himself. To put a smile on everyones face, even his own. Because hes coo-coo for coco puffs.

cant wait to se how grusome two face looks. surley the wont go for the realsitc tone yet agian and screw it up.

I agree, Schumacher's' take on Two-Face, what with the magenta skin and matching magenta hair was waaaay too 'real world' for my liking...........

I don't want that. I hope Bruce Wayne and Jack Napier turn out to be long-lost kindergarten buddies, and that we see that a young jack was scared by a clown that came around to the schoold one day. Then, we get flashbacks to Bruce and Harvey Dent being friends at Princeton, where they fought for the attentions of Selina Kyle, but couldn't get her because she was going out with Roman Sionis. Meanwhile, Bruce was perfecting his chemistry skills as Victor Fries intern. The more connections the better.

Plus Tommy Lee Jones's face was ugly enough on its own that it really didn't need scarring or purple stuff on it.

Now Eckhart theres a guy with a nice enough face that you just want to throw acid on him.

Nah, David Goyer is gone from the project. :)

Seeing as you're in Manchester, and away from the green pastures of Ireland, I'm going to assume that's what's affecting your brain right now.

You're missing home :oldrazz:

i think his scars were accidentally self-inflicted. yep..the end

I think that the scars are accidental. If you look at the Empire Joker pic you see that his right hand is burned somehow and there was a viral site about Gotham's Hospital of Burns and Acid accidents, something like that, cannot remember.

So his burn and his scars happend in the past, can you remember when people were sent emails subjected a tragic past when we were all trying to find the first Joker picture, the I Believe In Harvey Dent Too pic.

I really really hope he doesn't do it himself, I just find the whole prospect of self mutilation like that just really cheesy and lame.

Even though Johnathon Nolan has stated the leaked sides were fakes, leaked on purpose, I liked the hints of Joker having been "killed" by the mob. Maybe before they "killed" him, some goons gashed up on side of his face before they dumped him wherever, and Joker finished the job himself.

But we know that's been disproven now. :csad:

ditto, and it wouldnt cause him to go crazy, i have a feeling he is supposed to be a little off in this version even before the scarring but it wouldnt be the last straw if he did it to himself

:oldrazz:It was ridiculous but I liked it, the suit was just awful though.
