I was lookin for this thread to show the 1st session pic of my Heath Ledger Joker tattoo, I couldnt find it, jeesh!

Just so ya know, Tattoos are permanant. And you should get a tattoo of something that you really believe in.

The question I ask myself: Are you going to want this in the next couple of year. Or when your older even? And will that tattoo affect jobs or anything. Because in the business world of today I've had friends who have been turned down because of a tattoo or had to wear extra clothing to job interviews. And it's not fun to wear a long sleeve shirt with an undershirt in the summer for a job interview T_T.

That being said, I think that something like the Joker's face would be simple yet affective. Something like :hoboj: that. It's simple, yet effective.

The jobs your friends were looking at must not have gone through the equal opportunity situation, cause no longer in this country is anyone supposed to get turned down for any reason, race, sex, creed let alone tattoos. I work at my local Newspaper and I head the Graphic Design department for production of advertising for my whole city (Binghamton NY), Ive been here for three years, I have both arm sleeves (one half one full),a leg sleeve, my throat done, the works and I walk in to work in street clothes and do my job and get paid damn good to do it. I find it very upsetting to me that so many worry about not getting art they love on their body because of a job, if you have a passion for the art you want, it shouldnt be a factor unless your profession TRULY wont allow it. There are really good jobs out there, well atleast here in NY state where it dosent matter one bit if you have Tattoos or not, most of the time and if you do almost 100% of the time, if you can cover them with sleeves and a nice button up shirt, its not an issue one bit. Think about it, if its covered it should matter, if you really want a Tattoo, and your job wont allow it to be shown, the most poplular spots to get inked anyways are areas that you can keep hidden with sleeves or pants anyways, but I do agree positivly make sure that what your getting is something you will always love and cherish or want to remember, I have seen WAY too many people coming in and out of the shop I work at and get girls names on them or some tribal, and comeback wanting it covered, those usually are big no no's!

Yea i wish equal opertunity were in affect anymore :(. But sadly its unspoken these days. Bosses will simply say we dont need you or you aren't what we're looking for and blow a lot of smoke up your ass, but deep down its because of the way you looked or your color.

At any rate I would hate for this thread to be closed because it turns into a tattoo debate. I dont care if you get it cause i dont know you, I was just throwing some words out so you're cautious ;). You may miss Heath and love the movie now but I would think about it.

The tattoo posted earlier was nice :D! I think the sleeves are a bit much but i was never a purple overcoat guy. I think that a tattoo of heath as beat up joker would be awesome (when he cracks his neck).

lol ok man thats fine, I have thought about all of my decisions for along time and have been in the tattoo scene for about 7 years now, I have lots and lots of tattoos, so Im sure of what I wanted, and it wont fade in my mind, see for me itll be the memory of being excited and having a second coming of something like 1989, the re-birth of the greatest on comic book onscreen battle ever, Batman & The Joker. Plus I have faith in Heath Ledger's Joker to bring us the best on screen comic book villain yet, I mean so far even just from the trailers, no one can even compare, the only one MAYBE is ALfred Molina as Dr. Octopus, and thats not really close at all to anything like The Joker.

This thread WILL NEVER CLOSE hahaha!! Plus this is the place for a tattoo debate if there is one, so remember that, thats why we have these threads, to discuss, debate or just bs about the topic, thats what a forum is all about my friend, come on you know this....man!! :cwink:

I dont think you are able to work in the San Diego Unified School District if you have visible tattoos. Thus making mine able to be hidden. I plan on covering my shoulder, peck, and shoulder blade within the next few years (shoulder sleeve?). I plan on getting something Joker in there somewhere. Ill make sure to let you guys know.

i think a good idea for a batman tatoo is the batman symbol (although i still dont know which bat symbol i would want to choose since there have been so many variations over the years so im still thinking of which one would be the best for it) on the top of your back just a couple inches directly below your neck and on it in blue lettering (i still dont know which type of font i think would be best either) it says "Son of Batman". this has been an idea for a tatoo i have been thinking of for so long and i hope i can be able to get it in a few years.

I weird about tattoos on your back. I kinda have this weird mindset where I pay for the tattoo, and get what I want, so I want to be able to see it, dammit!

Hey mean to each their own, Im gonna get covered from head to toe eventually!! Its like my ultimate master plan.

Everyone is broke... But cant wait to see scarecrow!

true. showing off your tat to actually seeing the thing, knowing its there, is a good point and also with showing our proudness of being fanboys to batman. i just dont know how it would look good on your arm, it just seems more iconic and just looks better on the back imo. but no matter what you have to admit its an awesome idea. i mean this thing will show im a dark knight devoter for life.

I already know what Joker Tat i'm getting...but I need a little help. Can someone Re-Draw this to fill in the part that is shadowed out???

or is there a picture that is already filled in?? I want this one to be my tat. No need to color it in..just leave it B&W. But fill in the shadowed out part. If anyone can help me with this PM me. And I'll give you my e-mail to send it too.

Jesus! How many tattoo threads do we have open!?

Anyway, that Scarecrow looks amazing! I hope you share a clearer picture of it soon!

Here's mine. Sorry the pictures so crappy, I was trying to take it myself.

It just finished peeling so it looks very strange at the moment. I go back for color in 5+ weeks.

The actual drawing was done by Charles Holbert Jr. (kidnotorious)

And the tattoo artist is an amazingly patient man named Elf
