Joker Tattoo.

go for it freakzter. Don't let these internet people stop you from doing what you want :hoboj:

I got the outline of my Batman tattoo done yesterday. Some of you have probably seen this painting before, it's my favorite Batman work of art. I'll go in for some coloring at some point.

i saw an awesome looking picture of a Joker tattoo in a tattoo shop window it was in Canada somewhere.. might of been Banff

a friend's tattoo; i hope he doesn't mind me sharing. he's planning on getting it colored soon.

I have the same Andy Kubert image earmarked for a future Joker tattoo. I'm just trying to decide exactly how I want to do it (either the whole image, like your friend, or as part of a mural). I'll probably try to "clean up" the image a little to take away the Countdown references - Superman watch, Jimmy Olsen bow tie and change the card to either a Joker or to have the Bat-Symbol on it.

My first tattoo was a simple Bat-Symbol on my arm, but I definitely have the bug now.

Some of the photo on here are AMAZING. Especially Crusher's ink!

I'm only half-way through the pages, so I have more reading and viewing to do.

Edit - Crusher, dude! I've just finished reading the thread and have learned of the crappy turn of events with your artist. Man, that sucks. I hope your girlfriend's artist turns out to be every bit as good (hell, I hope he/she is even better). Your GF's Mother Nature tatt is really good (has she got it coloured yet), so there's hope. I'll be sure to drop back in here every so often for the "Continuing Tattoo Adventures of Crusher and Friends".

This my friend is badass!

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback. Even though it's not colored in, this is my new favorite tattoo. I had been wanting to get this done for a long time and I'm really happy with how it came out.

what are they? i noticed you seem to have a habit of not explaining yourself :/

if you have to ask you clearly dont understand the effect that this will have on the rest of your life.

keep it below the chin until you figure out who you are. you might think you know but trust me sister, you dont. in ten years you will have a completely different view of the world.

at 23 you just dont enough perspective to make that kind of life altering decision. facial tattoos are not to be taken lightly. they will severly limit your options in life.

besides with the amount of tattoos/body mods you have i highly doubt you could find anyone willing to do it.

Agreed, yea i know i may be a square for agreeing but I have several tattoos but they are all out of view while wearing a shirt, cruel world but most people dont understand tattoos and will NOT hire you more than likely because us people with tattoos are "freaks, trouble makers etc" maybe, but we can still do the job just as good( the ones hiring dont see it this way by the way) Ive just never felt like "hey look at me i have tattoos" ,I get a tattoo for me and not for shock value.

The points you make are valid but there is hope for those with visible tattoos. I have a lot of visible tattoos and managed to get a great job. What I decided while in college was that I would just have to get used to wearing long sleeved shirts during my professional career but I don't even have to do that now. My boss doesn't care, and his boss doesn't care. The beauty of wearing a suit to interviews is nobody can see your arms. But face and neck tattoos would be hard to hide, and I agree that people will judge the book by the cover. I realize my story isn't the norm but remember there are shirts with long sleeves out there :cwink:

I wish some children could get over the idea of getting their face inked, its the final extreme of tattooing.

unfortunately none of this applies to a facial tattoos or facial scarring for that matter.

if you mean get over it as in "generally bad idea" i agree.

if you mean get over it as in "whats the big deal?" i dont agree. not. one. bit.

^^^

Yeah, you're absolutely right. My friends have neck tattoos and another has facial and head tattoos but they are tattoo artist so it's no big deal. I guess with the scarring you could say that one night your father went off crazier than usual and wanted to put a smile on your face. Why so serious? :word:

thanks alot Ike, appreciate it. yea she got it colored, but we split up a while ago so i havent actually seen the finished product.

im still completely lost on what i want to get next, and untill i figure out what i want next and actually get it done, there wont be any updates on my bat-sleeve.

it really sucks, i miss the the feeling of getting ink done.

Well no one's getting inked, I for one am broke as hell.

as per usual my friend, i am in agreement with your statment, i have money saved up. but its for school next year.

not like i could spend it on tats right now anyways with my current predicament.

Your welcome, Crusher. It'll be truly great when it is all done.

I'm leaning towards having an animal totem tattoo done next, while I continue to think about exactly what shape and form I want my Bat-Villains tattoo to take. I may get a nice big solo Joker, or a montage of characters along the lines of your sleeve.

Decisions, decisions.

I was going through this, and realized finally what Tattoo I wanted.

I want a picture of Bruce holding the cowl lookin down at it, but I can't seem to find a picture of him doing this, to give reference to the tattoo artist.

Also, what else do I need to know / should find out before getting a tattoo, some of you seem experienced at this, where as I've only known I've wanted a tattoo, and I always like making sure all the proper research is done before doing something that is this life altering. I've made up my mind, and this is what i want, I will continue looking for the picture, but I'm sure some of you know of where the picture I am thinkin of is from, and could possibly help me out a batman brotha.

I would say go to your local shops and check out the artist's work. You don't want to just go to a local shop because it's close and everyone in town goes there to get their tribals or chinese letters done. The artists there may suck at doing what you're looking for. You don't want to risk it. Usually these guys have books or binders with the work they've done as well as flash art they've drawn on the walls. Ask around, if you see someone with some work you really like, ask them where they got it done. If you visit a shop, you'll be able to get an idea for how clean the shop is too. You want a clean, professional shop. I would also suggest that you don't choose based on price.

I don't know what other research you can do, I didn't really do any because my friends own a popular shop in NH and I get my work done for free so I never bothered shopping around but I think it's a good idea for anyone looking to get work done for the first time.

Hope this helps, good luck. Post pictures of it when it's done!!
