Joker's issue was the weakest, to me. The punchline was telegraphed the whole way through. Penguin's has been the strongest. Very visceral storytelling in that one.
So this series is pretty good? I saw the Scarecrow issue and the cover and art looked amazing. but I didn't wanna get it halfway through so I'm waiting for the trade. Good thing I did if the whole thing's good.
I really liked them as well. Nice little self-contained stories that were well told overall (Poison Ivy's was a bit weak). Too bad that Two-Face was the last one. Would have liked to see Bane, Catwoman, Clayface, Ventriloquist and any others they cared to throw in.
Wow....apparently I disagree with everyone haha....
I LOVED the penguin issue. AMAZING.
Also really enjoyed Poison Ivy.
Loved the juxtaposition of the Scarecrow story and the art.
I heard the Joker issue was bad (thanks to pulpsecret) but I enjoyed it. I think I might have been expecting horrible, so I was pleasantly surprised.
I DID NOT enjoy Two-Face. At all really. I like Two-face stories that truly deal with HIS double nature....not other people. What do I care about some weird firefighter guy. Also it was rip off of Killing Joke. I declare.
END RESULT: Penguin wins. By far.
I really want to see more....and less known characters. How about a flashback of the Ventriloquist? Or a Bane story with no batman? Or the Great White Shark. Favorite modern villain ever.
