The Joker's Asylum

I liked the Scarecrow and Ivy ones much better than Two-Face.

I did not like that issue at all.

I'd rank them like this:

1. The Penguin
2. Two Face
3. Joker
4. Poison Ivy
5. Scarecrow

The Penguin's was the best, IMO. Well written, some nice art, and Penguin came across as a real creepy psycho in it. And other times you almost felt sorry for him.

I've only read the Joker, Penguin, and Ivy so far. I'd have to say the Penguin's was the best, followed by Joker, with Ivy in last.

I have to say, what the Penguin did to the guy who laughed at him was pretty awesome. They don't often showcase that power he has in the comics.

So after reading the first three issues of the mini (Joker, Penguin, Ivy), I've been writing summaries after I'm done with each one. Its kind of a way for me to remember later on each issue I once read. I decided to just blog it figuring a lot of other people may have the same lack of memory skills that I have. So if you want, check the link out in the signature. If you have any opinions on as to what should be included in each summary, that would be cool. I tried putting all the information I thought would be relevant when looking back as to what I read.

Finally got my hands on the Two Face one.Really well done and on the same level as the penguin issue.Never got around to getting the Joker one but if i ever find it I'll buy it.Here's my rank

1.Penguin
2.Two Face-Ironic he's #2:oldrazz:
3.Poison Ivy
4.Scarecrow

You have a very strange taste in comics.

I dunno...I just didn't like it. Mainly it's issues I have with Two-Face...he's one character that I like written one way...and if it's different then I really can't get into it.

I like it when Two-Face is written as two people...and he is constantly switching between the two. There was a story in Batman Greatest Stories Vol. 3 (the one that came out after Batman Forever) that I really enjoyed.

And also....the storyline felt like a rip off of the Killing Joke to me. Not exact by any means, but the general theme felt the same.

And the reason I liked Scarecrow was the art, mainly. I loved the strange juxtaposition with the subject.

I just got the first 4 issues and man are these AMAZING!

JOKER: I really dont get all the complaining on this issue as the story is pretty damn good and makes some good points as to wh othe real "crazies" are. (And the sex jokes were pretty funny...*****, Gaylord, Dick etc lol... very sly). The art is fantastic and my only complaint is that DC prolly mandated he draw the Heath style midway through so in the first half he is normal short hair looking Joker, the middle he has long hair and the last half hes back to looking like normal Joker.

PENGUIN: Just a really great issue. Pearson is an amazing artist and I wish he put out more sequential work then he does.

IVY: Pretty good story here too and the artist draws a pretty hot Ivy as well.

SCARECROW: This was just fantastic as well, a real fun read .

I forgot to grab the Two Face one but will be soon so I cant comment on that one just yet.

These are real fun and well written comics that you can just pick up and read and enjoy the hell out of and thats where some of the real fun comes it because thats pretty rare these days.

I was a bit worried that Batman would show up and save the day and it would be lame but you don't get that in these books and its refreshing to see the bad guys win at least once.

Pick these up if you can, you will not be disappointed.

I'd also like for this to become an ongoing. Just think of the possibilites and how many bad guys Batman has that they could do.....

well I would love a whole bunch of one shot stories about different villains. Hell another joker one another scarecrow one sheesh not much to ask heh

....and maybe attach a decent, well known writer and artist.

The Penguin issue was actually really sad. I found it very touching.

I thought this series was great. Got a real perspective into what goes on with these nutcases.

The way DC is going I'm sure it will be TPB sometime early next year.

As crazy as this sounds.. I had all 5 issues but forgot to read them. Just finished them all just now.

Penguin story was sad IMO.
Two Face story was crazy, I really liked how you controlled the ending (he lived in my story)
Joker story was good but thought it could of been better
Ivy's & Scarecrow's story were both decent.

Overall it was a pretty good series. At first I thought I was gonna be more for children but man was I wrong lol

Yeah, I just read this a few days ago and thought it was fun.

Would love for them to do another volume with Joker telling stories about 4-5 other villians.

Mad Hatter, Scarface, Clayface, Black Mask and Mr. Freeze would be cool.
