Jordan Peele to Get Out!

124/0 now, but it looks like everyone's favorite contrarian critic, Armond White, has given it a bad review which will hit RT soon.
He gives virtually every high rated movie a bad review while praising crap.
He hated Rogue One, La La Land, Moonlight, Manchester by the Sea, Loving, and many other Fresh movies, but he liked Assassins Creed.
I thought they removed him from RottenTomatoes?

He just does it for Attention either that or he really has bad tastes when it comes to movies.

The main actor is so good in his role that I'm kind of upset he's just small character in Black Panther.

Dude could be Nightwing or whatever popular comic book character. He's a star in the making.

Wow critics have nothing negative to say about this, is it really THAT good?? I gotta see this out if pure curiosity now.

It's really good but don't the let hype get to you.

I feel like this movie is what Kevin Smith "tried" to do with Tusk and he failed miserably.

As much I like Smith as a person, and respect that he's just doing his own thing, he just lacks the nuances for something like this. When your'e tip toeing with tones - horror and satirical.

I really hope Peele gets some kind of acclaim for this movie.

The movie is getting great reviews and it's going to make a lot of money. It's not going to win Academy Awards, but it's not that type of movie. It's about the amount of acclaim you can expect for this type of film.

Cool concept, but fell a little short in my opinion. A little too slow and more comedy than I preferred. Average, but could've been great if more polishing was put on it.

I think the best friend character, Rod, was a bit too comedic at times. But I do like how his character subverts some of the expectations you have throughout the story.

Nah. None of his comedy was forced because most of what he was saying is exactly what the audience is saying.

Best film of the year (so far) after a 2nd viewing.

9.3/10

Wow 100% RT after 130 reviews. I wanna know if it leans toward horror or comedy.

The friend was there to basically be the meta guy.

A horror comedy thats dealing with interracial relationships and tension gets a 100% on RT. Thats astounding. You would figure with that kind of subject matter there'd be at least a few critics who dont take kindly to it or just dont like the humor. I havent seen this yet but Peele must have balanced the humor, horror and subject matter masterfully for critics to be so unanimous over it.

It's still early in the year, but Get Out will be included into in my Top Ten of 2017.

So, am I one of the few people who didn't like this movie?

I went and saw it last night with my friend. The trailers never did anything for me but then again, neither did the trailers for Interstellar and that film blew me away. I thought maybe, just maybe, this would do the same. After seeing the scores, word of mouth and just overall hype behind this film, I figured there would be something incredible here.

I went in with an open mind, having love of Jordan Peele's comedic work and just...was let down immensely. I never thought the film was scary or "unnerving" as people claim it to be. The "brain washed performances" got a lot of laughs in the theater which, in turn, made them cringe worthy for me.

The main character, Chris, was my favorite part. When he was getting hypnotized, that was honestly my favorite part. The acting was absolutely phenomenal and I hope he gets more roles.

For his directoral debut, I have to say, Peele managed some beautiful shots, great music selection and his comedy was, as always, gold. Unfortunately though, as stated above, I felt the "horror/thriller" aspect of the film fell flat. My friend said it best, it's basically a "stepford wives" type movie.

The plot, in my eyes, was predictable and my friend and I were guessing all of the twists before they happened. It was amusing to hear people gasping and freaking out as they unfolded but also left me a bit envious, I love that feeling in films.

Overall, I feel like this movie is the "It Follows" of 2017 for me. Incredible word of mouth/hype and I was left wanting something more.

And it being a Blumhouse movie, it only costed under 5 million to make! Victory!

This movie has tons of rewatch value just for all of the little details you miss on the first watch. Culturally sweeping, it's definitely opened 2017 with a bang for me. I think it will be remembered by many in the years to come.

Ready for Logan next week, then Kong the week after.

Just saw it and totally loved it. It was funny yet suspenseful as hell with an interesting story.

Allison Williams character had me changing my mind so many times about her, the end reveal was both good yet disappointing on a personal level.
