TV Line:
Lee revealed that the pilot for Joss Whedon’s Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. has been fast-tracked and thus will be ready for review “a lot earlier than others.” He hailed the script as “great” with “a lot of funny male/female relationships” as well as “a lot of action,” and feels it could be a highly co-viewed show (that is, watched by parents with their kids) in the vein of Once Upon a Time. Elaborating on his go-to quote that the comic books-inspired pilot is “very Joss,” he said: “You know how Joss is so high/low? How he’s able to be intense and epic and suddenly funny/silly? He’s got that ability to be super-entertaining.” Lee said that if ordered to series (“Joss is very engaged and already working on scripts”), S.H.I.E.L.D. could air almost anywhere, in any time slot. “Marvel has the ability to bring the whole family.”

Sunday is the best night.

Move Revenge to the empty 10pm slot and have the one two punch of Once Upon a Time and SHIELD at 8 and 9.

Let's be honest here.Shield Is going to be picked up.

I will bet right now It will get sunday timeslot. My main concern Is where they will move Revenge.

I certinly hope Joss Whedon doesn't let studio pressure him to try to do a more standalone episode series.Although airing with Once upon a Time there would less danger with that.

I have concerns due to fact this Is comic book adaptian with no characters from Marvel Comics on It.Coulson doesn't count since he Is character made for films.I have to give them credit for casting Ming-Na as one of leads.Hopefully there will be guest and recurring characters from comcis to make up for It.

Put this up against The Walking Dead ? This may have MARVEL's name on it. But it is still a noob show. With a big ? on it

That would be suicide for a freshman show.

I hope it's not on Sunday. That's already the most crowded night of the week on my TV schedule. My DVR can't handle any more, lol.

I have no shows on Tuesday. So put this & Once Upon A Time on that night

There's no sense in moving Once to tuesday. It's doing just fine on sundays.

So? Don't move OUAT with it.

SHIELD at 8, Once at 9. It would be stupid to out SHIELD in the same timeslot as TWD when so many fo the same people will be wanting to watch both shows. Once doesn't overlap as much with TWD as SHIELD does. Revenge can be moved to 10...until Star Wars is picked up.

Once is staying put. Count on it.

ABC wont put another freshman show anywhere near The Walking Dead. They learned their lesson with 666 Park Avenue. And their would be no sense in moving Once Upon A Time from its comfortable cush.

So you want to sacrifice Once Upon A Time to The Walking Dead ? ABC will not hesitate to cancel Once Upon A Time. After the ratings die a slow death. Sunday is just not a good night for S.H.I.E.L.D. Unless they put it on at 7

Once has a better chance of not being killed by TWD than SHIELD has. For one thing, Once is already an established show with a fanbase, SHIELD is not even with the clout of the Avengers. Second of all, the overlap in viewership between SHIELD and TWD is far greater than Once in the first place. Nothing good will come of pitting SHIELD against TWD. If anything it would just hurt both shows for no good reason. At the same time, Sunday is the best day of the week to air headlining dramas like SHIELD and I doubt ABC would want to demote it to a Saturday or weekday slot. I think they realize going forward SHIELD will have a higher ceiling and be a more important series to them than Once, especially considering they have other Marvel shows in the pipeline, so they'll want to prioritize it over Once in the end.

Well OUAT would lose a viewer in me if its on at the same time as TWD. It will be interesting to see what ABC does

Why does it need to be paired with OUAT? I don't think the shows will be all that similar tonally (frankly, something like Castle is more geek-friendly than that show). I think ABC is gonna consider this show a heavyweight contender of the new fall season, so they'll probably put it where they usually put their headliners (Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, etc) - on a weeknight.

And they wouldn't dare move OUAT. It's in the best possible time slot for its more family-oriented content, and I'm sure ABC knows it.

EDIT:
That's a kindness. I was confident (as were many others) that it wouldn't be prequel since that just doesn't sound like something Joss would do, but its nice to have it confirmed nonetheless.

I hope one of the Avengers runs into Coulson eventually. His first name will probably revert back to Agent :p

So what does this mean about who Coulson is? I really want him to be dead! I really hope they do it in a way that has the Avengers movie maintains the same dramatic weight of that scene means. I'm man enough to admit that I get misty eyed every time that scene plays.

I'm still betting on LMD. Maybe with no emotional attachment to anyone, or maybe Fury gives SHIELD agents explicit orders to not reveal the real Coulson's death to the LMD so the LMD can just believe he's the real deal. It's Whedon, so there's definitely gonna be some kind of twist like that to how he's back from the dead.

Fury emotionally maipulated the Avengers with Coulson's playing cards so its hard telling just what he would do. It's possible SHIELD has restorative tech and just failed to mention it to the Avengers.

Considering Whedon came up with the "Buffy-bot" anything is possible. Personally I don't want an emotionally detached Coulson. His peronality is what makes him such a likeable character. Plus he is a total badass the way he stares down all this crazy **** he encounters with a steely reserve. As far as characters go, Coulson is in my top 10 so I would hate to see him altered.
