If we get a justice society episode in the series, who do think would make the team? What JSA character would you most like for them to introduce?

I would love to see Dr. Fate, but since Smallville isn't super faithful when it comes to costumes/character designs, and the helmet is the source of his power, they'd probably give him an amulet or something instead...I'd be a little dissapointed in something like that, but I'd still love for the character to get some exposure.

I dont know if there gonna use Alan Scott cause of the GL movie, don't know about Jay Garrick cause we already have a Flash on the show.

Fate, WildCat, and Hawkman can be done, and theres a good chance we will probably only get 3 at the most....

Hawkman's wings would be difficult for Smallville. Maybe Jay Garrick and connecting him to Bart. Wildcat is a definite, an old boxer is easy for them. Alan Scott may be a probelm because he was in the first green lantern movie script we saw. Then there is Sandman, maybe Thom Kallor which could tie Legion into it and provide a reason for the JSA to meet clark. Its possible we may get Stargirl who geoff created and named after his deceased sister.

O.K. I added a poll. I haven't read a ton of JSA comics, so if I left anyone out that you'd like to see let me know.

no way we will get power girl unless they say she's the daughter of Arion.

This is the first poll I've posted, how do you edit it? I just realized I left an "l" out of smallville in the poll's title...how embarrassing.:csad:

Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Wildcat.

Voted Alan Scott becouse it would just be cool and different and hopefully they could show another character (besides Martian Manhunter) who would be cool and not be a 20s kid. And Yeah, I know there's a GL film in the works, I just voted cause Geoff Johns said there would be characters in it that you wouldn't expect.

Yea i agree with this happening i could see probably jsa being just 3 members to keep the episode's budget at a reasonable place. I do say wildcat is the most logical no powers and could easily be done, as for others i dont know much of the jsa characters so i dont know which would end up working well within the show's world/budget.

So do you guys think jsa will be from the past in the present day as old folks, clark goes into the past and sees them in their prime, them 20s/30s years old from our time, a hero team from a parallel dimension like how jl did it with the mock jsa team.

A JSA sounds awesome for the coming season.

It would be great if Clark ends up helping some old guy only to find out he was a former member. It could be almost like a mini-Watchmen.

An old enemy of the JSA is out for revenge and is picking off the former members of the superhero team. Clark helps one of them try to locate everyone (who are now retired, in hiding, etc.) in time to warn them and stop the killer.

As Clark and the old member work together they can flashback to the good old days through stories he tells him and this can help influence his future costumed career as well.

Man, I see so many possibilities for this ep in my head. Especially if they made it a two-parter.

isnt he due to have some sorta of movie/etc... been in the works for awhile?

Nah, i'm pretty certain i woulda heard about that. Apart from a supporting role (as a reanimated corpse) in The Blackest Night, nobody's doing anything at all with Golden Age Sandman. He'd be perfect for this.

More people must know of his awesomeness!

ah ok i guess i was mixing characters up. So could somesome give me a brief bio on majority of jsa charactrs?

I'd like to see Captain Marvel and Hawkman.

Dr.Fate

Doctor Fate possesses a variety of mystical powers. In general, even without wearing the Helmet of Nabu, the host can fly, is highly resistant to injury, has minor telekinesis, and has greater-than-human strength.
In all of his incarnations, Doctor Fate is an accomplished sorcerer, and at his most potent able to match most other wizards in the DC Universe.
In various incarnations, Fate can emit bolts of mystical energy, teleport across the universe, craft solid objects out of energy, and transform objects into other kinds of matter (transmutation).
At the known height of his abilities, he was able to take control of Etrigan the Demon, Darkseid, Highfather and Orion and harness their powers to take on the Anti-Life entity.

Alan Scott/Green Lantern
Thousands of years ago, a mystical "green flame" fell to Earth. The voice of the flame prophesied that it would act three times: once to bring death, once to bring life, and once to bring power. By 1940, after having already fulfilled the first two-thirds of this prophecy, the flame had been fashioned into a metal lantern, which fell into the hands of Alan Scott, a young railroad engineer. Following a railroad bridge collapse, the flame instructs Scott in how to fashion a ring from its metal, to give him fantastic powers as the superhero Green Lantern. He adopts a colorful costume (setting himself apart from his successors, as he wore both red and purple in his outfit, besides the standard green) and becomes a crime fighter.
Scott uses his ring to fly, to walk through solid objects (by "moving through the fourth dimension"), to paralyze or blind people temporarily, to create rays of energy, to melt metal as with a blowtorch, and to cause dangerous objects to glow, among other things. Occasionally, he uses it to create solid objects and force fields in the manner usually associated with fellow Green Lantern Hal Jordan, and to read minds. His ring could protect him against any object made of metal, but would not protect him against any wood or plant based objects. This was said to be because the green flame was an incarnation of the strength of "green, growing things".

Jay Garrick/Flash
Jason Peter Garrick is a college student prior to 1940 who accidentally inhales vapors after falling asleep in his laboratory where he had been working. As a result, he finds that he can run at superhuman speed and has similarly fast reflexes. After a brief career as a football star, he dons a red shirt with a lightning bolt and a stylized metal helmet with wings, and begins to fight crime as the Flash. The helmet belonged to Jay's father, Joseph, who fought during the first world war. He has been seen using the helmet as a weapon/type of shield. His speed tops out around the speed of sound.

Sorry, I only got some of the more well known characters done here. Not sure how much that helps...I'll post some more bios later.

Hourman
Scientist Rex Tyler was Working his way through college, he landed a job researching vitamins and hormone supplements at Bannermain Chemical. A series of discoveries and accidents led him to the "miraculous vitamin" Miraclo. He found that concentrated doses of the "miraclo" given to test mice increased their strength and vitality several times that of normal. After taking a dose himself, Rex found he could have superhuman strength and speed for the hour that vitamin's effects lasted, before returning to human levels

Rick Tyler, Rex's son, took over the Hourman mantle during the crisis on infinite Earths.

Dr. Midnight
Three different characters have assumed the role of Doctor Mid-Nite. All of them have been close to blind in daylight but able to see clearly in darkness, and have utilized special visors and smoky “blackout” bombs to give them the upper hand against enemies. All three have also been actual medical doctors. Two have also had sidekick owls.

Wildcat

Ted Grant, A world-class heavyweight boxer, became inadvertently entangled in the criminal underworld and developed a costumed identity to clear his name.

ok thanks for the bios on th guys i didnt know, as for guys i think that would work for smallville's world/budget i say wildcat, hourman, doctor mid-nite, maybe fate, and jay/alan i doubt they will be able to use.

no way we will get power girl unless they say she's the daughter of Arion.

I dont know. The chance to cast a hot blonde actress with an incredible rack might be too much for Smallville to pass on. Not that I'd complain mind you ;)
