Smallville Spin-off

i liked Ollie in season 8, he felt like a strong regular there. Season 7 wasn't for him though. I like how he serves as the 'back-up' hero in the series, like those old back-up short stories behind Action Comics. But maybe I'm pushing it. Another reason why I like/hate Marsters as Brainiac is coz a teacher in my school looks exactly like him, and that guy was manipulative and a perv so yeah. :P Anyway back on topic. What with The Incredible Hulk possibly being the next big superhero live-action series on TV, DC really needs to take it up a notch.

If they hadn't killed Carter off, I'd say a JSA show where they help train and work with the Watchtower crew.

And they could have occasional guest appearances by new heroes, some who need training so they could be around for a couple of episodes, to fill out the Smallville universe.
I always wanted a Smallville JLA comic book similar to Justice and Doom, The Batman season 5, Young Justice or Outsiders, JLA: Year One and other Jla cartoon/comics featuring the origin of the members, how the joined the leauge(Bart, Dinah, AC, John Jones, Victor, etc), offscreen missions like Hex with the Keystone crisis with Bart and Clark, fight villians like 33.1, Starro, Despro, etc, JLA/JSA member teamups, maybe what happens after the series finale and written by different writers and artists for different story arcs like Ultimate comics Avengers

It would certainly appease die-hard fans, how long did the SMALLVILLE comic run btw?

Hmm I don't recall myself I think it probably lasted just a few. Don't think it wasa round to long.

at least not long enough, anyways. I always liked how the art did resemble the actors, and picked up a few issues around season 3. The webisodes were much better though.

I've thought about a JLA from Smallville spin-off tv show before!,IF they could get ALL the JLA actors or at least look-alikes and new characters for it like Green Lantern/Batman&WonderWoman then that would be great.....Even better IF they could get Welling to do cameo/guest appearances every now&then as Clark/Superman(IF not..Then just make references to Clark/Supes by showing newspapers with Superman headlines).

Rest of success would really depend on Writing/Directing/Story&Character direction and so on though!

Yea that would be cool. As I said before since it would be a pricey show to pull off. It would probably be better for a more brave and the bold teamup deal. With like 2-3 main cast members and then roating guest cast to come in when ever. Then once or twice a season to have full team.

Yeah!,Maybe S1's main characters could be Ollie/Tess/Dr(I keep forgetting his name)with AC/Impulse/Cyborg&Zantanna making some guest appearances through out the season and then when they are not featured it could be explained that they are on missions for the team and they are referenced as"reporting in'during the end or something with Tess.

Start S2 with introducing Green Lantern(maybe Hal Jordan cause of the movie)and Building up his story/character and mid-season have Bruce Wayne come in.....End the season at the Amazon with S3 getting Dianna/WW.

IF lucky,S4-on could be the team actually all forming together on missions more often(& thus...The cast coming together then just guest appearances)

Yea there is alot they can do if it would happen.

The spinoff for Smallville would be "The Legion." It would star Lightning Lad,Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy.The other Legionaires could have cameos
and if Tom Welling wanted a cameo as Superman,it would work.

James Marsters could have a recurring role as Brainiac 5.

I doubt legion would be picked if it was. Just would be a pricey one to pull off.

Oh no problem happens all the time. Heck I recall once I had a 5/7x post lol.

A Legion show similar to the LOSH cartoon and those Legion episodes in DCAU would be great and I would watch it.

I wonder if we could send Someone these ideas. A Smallville JLA comic would be awesome maybe see the New Earth and Earth 1 JLA/JSA team up with Smallville JLA/JSA.

The smallville bi-monthly comic lasted 11 issues from 2003-2004

it would be sweet but like i pointed out doing a futuristic losh show on a budget like sv has presently it probably wouldnt look that great.

My friend, if/when you do find a contact you let me know! :) There are undeniably GREAT ideas that DC needs to lend ears to.

So... how about a BIRDS OF PREY spin-off with Chloe, Dinah and someone else being Huntress? Ollie could very well function the way Nightwing does in the comics.

They already tried a BIRDS OF PREY series and it (barely) lasted one season, so unfortunately, I don't think it would work again.

But then again, who knows? :yay:

I know :) was worth a shot. I still look at that old series and the Halle Berry movie and imagine them all co-existing in the same continuity...with Val Kilmer's Batman.

That would suit me. With James and Tom Guest staring ,that would help the show. Perfect.:yay:
