It premiere on Netflix Japan on 3 July 2020.
I dont know if its already avalaible in other countries.

But if it already is, I recommend this for any horror fan.

It is quite good show, plus Kuroshima Yuina-chan is the main heroine in this. :)

Yeah I binged the entire thing Monday and enjoyed it so much that I started watching some of the earlier Ju-On films that same day. Definitely a must watch for horror fans, especially if you are a fan of this franchise and were either dissapointed or like me hated that awful The Grudge reboot that we got earlier this year. This completely made up for that travesty of a film IMO, although I would warn some of you guys that it gets really dark at times.

The series was good but drawn out and more of suspense than horror. Gotta feel bad for that new girl at the school though. She is the definition of what the Joker says about one bad day.

Is the English dub good? I usually go for the sub but I want to multi task.

ETA: Going for the sub for now. And oh it’s only 30 mins per ep? Score!

I finished it last night and yeah I agree with it being more (murder) suspense rather than horror. I can't remember anything from the movies so I can barely tie it in as well. Most of this worked for me but some parts made me side eye it (like the
explosion/bursting of the husband of the pregnant wife
in the last episode. WTF? The stuff in episode 4 is effectively gross and gruesome though but I still can't decide whether to scream or laugh at the
baby scene at the prison
. I know they've been explicit in showing the timelines but was anyone else confused when Kiyomi had long hair at first and then back to short in the same timeline? I thought there was a twist timeline that I was missing.

BTW anyone else loved the end credits song/music? It's so moody. I loved it!

So glad many has enjoyed this series, hehe.

Judging by her appearance when she pick up Toshiki at the hospital, Kiyomi has the long hair is more proof that she works as a nightlife worker / hostess in host club. It is not unusual for women to use hair extention when working at Shinjuku's host club. (For the attractiveness purpose).

So, i think that makes you confused that it is a more of cultural thing, kvz5 :)

Yes, I love the ending theme. Though at the end of it, It sounded like a Buddhist praying song when praying in funeral. Haha

Don't have Netflix. Is this likely to get a Blu-ray/DVD release, do you think?

Ohhhhhh.... thanks for explaining! I thought about her wearing a wig or extensions but I'm like, why?! But now that you mentioned that it's a common thing for women working in a club then yeah that makes sense now. :funny:

Does this show share continuity with any of the films (original Japanese, or US)?
