that's pretty tight Bane. i really love the way you did Ra's Ducard. i gotta agree with spideyboy_1111 though when he says that they look like they're lightsaber dualing, hehe. still a tight drawing though...kudos!

Yeah i got a little carried away while doing the sword fight, but i was going for the "epic" feel that SW posters are giving.

well it's definately still epic.. but maybe the cliff rescue? or Bruce coming up over a mountain (image of the back of him) standing and looking at the League of Shadows building? prob would have worked better...

i just think the sword fighting, there costumes, and the light shining behind looks out of place with the rest of the piece, contrast is good, but when it makes one think "Star Wars" over Batman, its a bit distracting.

over all i love it, and love your work though, but if i could change anything, it would be that.

Would love to see you do a version of these for future and even past installments... (basically take Batman Returns and "update" it a little, keeping catwoman and penguin casted correctly, but putting Bale in as bats? Maybe the same for Batman forever and B&R (but allowing a bunch more creative freedom) lol (recasting, costume/makeup design, everything) lol. I'd love to see that :)

BATMAN ROGUES GALLERY
A PHOTO-MANIPULATION
BY VICARIOU5

This was my first time really doing a photo-manipulation at this scale. It was completely done on photoshop and the project took me about a weeks worth of intense labor. Exhausting and frustrating but I really enjoyed working on each charater bringing them to life from their comic counterparts and the end result...Well I'd rather you decide!

I grounded my feet in the "Nolanverse" but took some heavy liberties on some of the outlandish characters, but in doing so I used the comic incarnations as a guide and so some of the characers are pretty much a realistic translation of how they have appeared in the books and in no way reflect upon how I envision them in this current Nolan franchise.

Each character was meticulously worked on until my notion of perfection. The only character I didnt touch was Batman.

First Im gonna post a medium resolution version and below that Im gonna post a High resolution version BUT, that Hi res version has Not so subtle watermarks protecting my art, as I already have people who have shown interest in buying this as a large poster.

I cannot put a cost on my labor but i can auction the poster and if this were to end up on ebay :cwink: in the near future i want to make sure its by my hands.

Wow, those are phenomenal!
Thanks for posting who you used. I was staring at a couple of them and trying to figure out who they were.

It would have been nice if you asked permission to use my body for Bane. :)

Sweet I didn't see this last one before. You have some inspired casting choices:up: Especially Paul Giammati he looks just like that guy and I would believe he really thought the doll was talking.

nice work I only disagree with three of your casting choices, Riddler, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy

So let me get this straight? Where along the lines did human civilization consider photoshop skills art? Design yes, artwork no.

awesome piece, vicariou5! i'm sure there was a lot of time and effort put into that. it paid off.

Photoshop is a tool, just like a brush or a pencil. You cannot produce an image without some type of tool. You also cannot produce an image without some sort of skill. Skill + Tool = Art....therefor Photoshop skills are essential for producing modern art.

btw...design is a form of art.

Wow...

The amount of work that went into that picture apparently escapes you, as you seem intent on reducing it to simple photo manipulation.

Having said that, SIMPLE PHOTO MANIPULATION falls into the range of appropriate ART submissions for this contest.

Thanks for backing me up people. I'm glad you guys understand the wok put into it... but lets cut this guy some slack, he probably dosent have an artistic inclination to "get" how now days "art" has diversified past the traditional chalk and charcoal. i mostly work with traditional mediums anyway and it was that ability that helped me pull this manipulation off. MUCH harder than it seems...and you fellow artists grasped that.

Totally appreciate all the positive feedback.
