I mean it's a matter of opinion isn't it. Though I think O'Haire's piece is really well rendered I wouldn't say it's necessarily the most creative piece that's been entered and there are other pieces that are as good if not rendered in such a realistic style.

Just my opinion.

Yeah. I tried about 4 - 5 times to get it. But no matter what I just couldn't get it to look decent. So I just went with how it was.

I might give it another go sometime.

I don't mind that fact that you like it, or that you say it's the one you're going to vote for.

I just don't think it's appropriate to declare it the winner before the contest is done. It's a bit annoying for other people who have entered already or planning to enter as when people say this is going to win there doesn't seem much point in entering.

It's not just you, the last contest had a few people declaring this or that as the winner.

I wouldn't be surprised if it won, it's very good, not my #1 pic but it's still good. Like I say I'd prefer it if people stayed away from declaring anything as the winner, or that this deserves to win, or the contest is rigged.

It's art everyone is going to have their own opinions about what should or shouldn't win.

yeah. one contest people said i won... and i didnt, a couple times that happened, i didnt take it personal, and if a fan fav came before my entry was up i didnt get all bitter about it. its just opinioins guys, if you cant take them, grow thicker skin. im not being negative to anyones entry, i just think that his entry has a very good chance of winning, showing raw drawing tallent.

Hey I don't mind have my work crit, told it sucks whatever. It is opinion, but you came out with "we have a winner" to me that's different from "This piece is awesome I think it should win" (which I wouldn't have a problem with)

I don't have a problem with people commenting on the work good or bad it's expected, but it's annoying when people start saying we have a winner when the contest isn't even finished yet, even if it's likely to be true.

Just my opinion.

Did I trash your opinion? I don't think I did, like I say your welcome to say what you want... I didn't mean to make this a big deal.

Ultimately it's just the way the comment was worded...

"we have a winner" is a declaration..." I think this should win" or "I think we have a winner" would be an opinion.

I wasn't tryin to jump on you about stating your opinion it was just the way it was worded.

Sorry if I offended...wasn't my intention.

To me "I think it should win" is the same thing as "We have a winner." It's not like the contest is determined by one person saying "We have a winner", there is the vote. So what's the big deal? It's just the same thing phrased differently. Neither really has any impact on people's opinions.

Don't need to argue you into the ground and I wasn't trying to jump down anyone's throats about it.

It's not really worth getting in a fuss about.

I've been kind of in a foul mood lately and I guess it's transferring over slightly into everything I do...so I apologize if I offended ya or pissed you guys off by my incessant ramblings.
