I agree O'haire's is really nice, but it's not going to be my #1 slot.

I'm not sure if I'm going to have mine finished in time for this one though. Hopefully I get it done soon though.

Well heres my entry for the month, Im fairly pleased with it. If I have some time I may tinkle with it. I am not to happy with the tie, I tried to add a texture to it but it kept killing my computer!

ummm I'm not sure really, haha. I just didn't want to make it to dark (with the exception of his jacket) as I wanted the chest to stand !

Tonal focus...it's create a focus through the use of tone. By making the face skin and clothing black and white he changes the focus to the emblem and shirt because they are colour.

It would be like if you are doing a drawing and you want there to be a portion emphasised you could render the on portion with shading and let the rest just be light lines and soft shading to create that emphasis.

Just finished today. I had to darken it because the scanner made it to light. I also couldn't fit the whole thing. I need a bigger scanner.

I'm too lazy to scan in pieces. So I just took this to show the whole thing.

Actually quite similar to what Frank Miller did with Sin City and Spielberg did with Schindler's list, imo.

I tried to make him more realism than my manga style, but unfortunately the only references I could find were the Pepsi box ones and a hispanic guy...so...um...yeah, I better just...leave...*runs away!*

Cool. I kind of lke the style. I forget what it's from, but there's a quote that goes "Never apologize for your art."

My only critisism is that I really don't get how the 'S' is supposed to be on his bare chest. I could understand if it was made to look like spraypaint or something but you've textured it a bit so it makes me a little confused.
