Yeah, now that it's finished not so keen on the Galactus either. It was one of those things were I did thought it looked good finished it then changed my mind. But that's the advantage of having computers it'll be a much easier fix.

Reflections and lighting on the Surfer done in After Effects

Colour grading and compositing Galactus and the Clouds done in After Effects

Never saw this.... Did you do Galactus too? This is just such a unique look as a whole... If you didn't do Galactus, to married the surfer to him really nicely!

I decided to go ahead and enter a wallpaper for this one... I did all of the effects (superpowers/fire, invisibility and stretched hand) in this along with the logo. Please feel free to use this on your desktop too! I put a LOT of work into this...

Missed this one too... Love the wallpaper... was is a full pic of sue, that you made into a pic of her turning invisible, or id you creat that lower part? either way, the invisible effect looks perfect.

my only critique is that im not sure whats going on with ben....

reed's hand looks awesome... (is that from the same pic as the rest of him reed?) however, did reed throw ben? the motion trail seems to indicate this, but reed's hand is WAY in front of Ben. If Ben jumped from the Fantasticar, it makes more sense, but maybe if the motion trail was a bit more pronounced so you could tell it was behind reed's hand it might sell that idea better.

Having said that, in all its a great piece.

PS: I'm kicking myself that I missed out of seeing the King Kong in the background!

PSS: I love the over-saturation of the skyline... It's a nice stylized choice, but it also really keeps up with the over the top colors in the foreground.

WOW! I suggest everyone compare this to the older version, still posted in KAD's personal thread. This is a new level for you, I think. Love the shading on Reed! The shading on Sue is perfect... The alterations to the surfer are great. Johny looks great... You REALLY pushed this one. Nice!

I wanted to do something a bit different with the Surfer that kinda showed how alone he is, although he's able to soar to any place in the galaxy and has these great powers, he still seems very alone and still lives with the burden of having been the herald of Galactus and the memory of those worlds dying by his hand . . . . with his look I wanted to try something a little different than what's been done in the comics with the usual Light blue and black line and instead opted for his body reflections to kinda reflect the stars and space also I wanted to give him a more "alien" appearance by elongating his neck a bit. I just wanted him to look like he was floating effortlessly in space just thinkin' about s#!t.

This one's for the FF2 contest!

dude, i absolutely loe this picture. the ONLY thing keeping this from being a perfect 10 (for me anyway) is the juxatposition of your very stylized Surfer and the photo's of the moon and earth. I think that if you vectorized them (a bit more, it looks like you already did it slightly?), itd fit better - something i know you can do after viewing your work. By the way, the fact that you were able to achieve such photorealism with some of your colored pencil drawings is totally sick. Your website itself is killer as well. Makes me really want to take the time and finish redoing mine!
